Silence and Sound in Perfect Harmony
Silence and Sound in Perfect Harmony For years, I settled for "good enough" headphones. They played music, they blocked out some noise, and they didn't cost a fortune. But as I spent more time commuting, traveling, and trying to find focus in noisy environments, I realized that "good enough" wasn't cutting it anymore. I craved an audio experience that was truly immersive, comfortable enough for hours on end, and capable of creating a bubble of calm in a chaotic world. I decided it was time to invest in something exceptional, and the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX headphones entered the picture. They promised a blend of luxury, performance, and silence, and they have delivered a level of audio bliss I didn't know I was missing. Unboxing these headphones feels like unwrapping a piece of art. The minimalist Scandinavian design is stunning, and the materials are simply exquisite. The soft lambskin on the earcups and headband, the cool touch of the aluminum – every detail speaks to premium craftsmanship. Putting them on for the first time is like settling into a comfortable armchair for your ears. They are surprisingly lightweight, and the memory foam earcups mold perfectly, creating a seal that's both comfortable and effective even before the noise cancellation kicks in. I can wear these for hours on a long flight or during a full workday without any discomfort. Then there's the sound. Oh, the sound. The custom-tuned drivers produce audio that is rich, detailed, and beautifully balanced. Bass is present and powerful but never overwhelming, mids are clear and articulate, and highs are crisp without being harsh. Listening to familiar tracks through these headphones reveals nuances I'd never heard before. It's an immersive experience that pulls you into the music. The hybrid active noise cancellation is incredibly effective. It doesn't create an unnatural, pressure-filled silence, but rather a calm, quiet backdrop that allows the audio to shine. The roar of an airplane engine, the chatter of a busy office, the drone of traffic – it all fades away, leaving just you and your music (or podcast, or audiobook). The transparency mode is also well-implemented, allowing you to easily tune back into your surroundings with a tap. The battery life is phenomenal. Getting up to 30 hours with ANC and Bluetooth active means I can go for days of regular use or survive the longest travel days without needing to recharge. The touch controls on the earcups are intuitive and responsive once you get the hang of them. While they are undoubtedly a significant investment, the experience these headphones provide justifies the cost for me. They are a perfect marriage of form and function, delivering exceptional sound quality, unparalleled comfort, and effective noise cancellation in a package that is simply beautiful. They create a personal sanctuary of sound and silence, making every listening session a genuine pleasure.

Expected B&O quality and craftsmanship
I own several B&O pieces and this is my third set of headphones. Everything is top quality as expected. Sound is pure. Not the heavy bass that fees artificial in other headphones but just natural sound, which pairs wonderfully with my music style which leans on adult rock, detailed produced recordings, acoustic and even lo-fi intimate recordings. I flew intensively for the last two months and noise cancellation works very well and fit is perfect for long trips. As expected from the Danish the materials are outstanding as well craftsmanship, and finally these come with a proper case instead of the bag other B&O headphones came in the past (although I mist admit the bag was practical). At Black Friday discount these were a complete steal. Mind you I have all the Apple ecosystem so the AirPods Max would have been may have been a logical choice but to me B&O sound is simply better and on a different league.

Excellent sound and extremely stylish
These headphones produce fantastic sound, bass, and clarity. The ANC works well, though the low droning sound of a plane engine still slips through a little. The leather and the aluminum feel luxurious, premium, and durable. In my opinion, they are a timeless style. Extremely comfortable to wear for almost any length of plane ride. The battery is good as well, lasting easily over 24 hours of travel. There is a BaO app that allows you to adjust setting and such, but once connected to your phone you can use whatever music app.

Very Good Headphones!
I will say these are a very good set of headphones. Not perfect. But good. I'm just not having the issues I've read in a few bad reviews here. Everything works fine on mine. Volume control, next play swipe both work fine. The noise canceling is satisfactory to me. I know there are some that may be better in that department. But they are good enough. The other high points about these are that they are very light and comfortable and after hours wearing still no issue hurting my ears or feeling heavy. They completely seal around my ears making for a truly great experience. The very long battery life is a major plus too. I've owned good headphones that only last like 4 or 5 hours and that's a deal breaker for me because I wear them all the time. Now I own numerous pairs of headphones and my Master and Dynamics mw65's are quite good too. Especially if you hook them up through an audio cable and it really increases the sound quality like 10 times better than the Bluetooth function on that pair. That's really the only way I use them. They also are a little heavy and don't make a perfect seal around the ears. But I am curious on how the new mw75's, that Master and Dynamics just came out with, sound like and if they've increased the sound quality in Bluetooth mode. Overall after about 10 hours of break in on these B/O HX's, they sound very well. They do need a break in period. I know that everyone might not agree and are picky beyond belief, but these are worth the money. High quality build and sound. I definitely would buy again.

Good Headphones but there are better options for the same or less money
Pretty good. I got mine from an Amazon return at a great price. They then went on sale for Black Friday so perhaps I did not get a great deal. Battery life seemed pretty good. They were very comfortable. No issues with Bluetooth connectivity. Size is prefect and the carrying case they came with were good. Sound quality is subjective but I felt these overemphasized the highs and lows. Midrange was lacking. Only no D/A converter so to get better sound I needed to add an external D/A converter. While these were good, the Focal’s are much better. With BLACKFRIDAY deals, I was able to get the Focal’s for almost the same price as the B&O. In my opinion, the Focal’s blow these away for sound quality. The Focal’s are heavier and would be more difficult to use for extended periods of time (over 3 hours) as the headband is really tight.

Non so dirvi nulla rispetto all’affidabilità dell’elettronica negli anni.

These sound as beautiful as they look. They are incredibly clean-sounding, with more than enough bass for me. I came from Beats headphones, so the more subtle bass is much appreciated. The app has an intuitive, one-finger EQ. These fit my ears great, though if you have larger ears because they are round, they may not be comfortable. They are very light weight, and I forget I am wearing them. The noise cancellation is average. These headphones allow me to hear details and sounds I missed in recordings so I've been rediscovering all of my music. The controls are intuitive, and I appreciate the auto-off/start function when you remove or place the headphones on your head. The volume controls took a while to get used to because they require a little more pressure than I'm used to for capacitive touch-type interfaces. I believe that B&O has decided to create headphones that reach a perfectly balanced amount of non-fatiguing, detailed sound with reduced cabin pressure to make headphones that seemingly disappear. Premium products focus on the whole experience, not just certain aspects. These headphones feel, look and sound premium.
