Nice kit for first timer
Woohoo, I ordered this set for stamp carving as a first timer. I really only used 2 of the crescent shaped curved blades as they seemed the easiest to work with on linoleum (rubber) block. Those were awesome straight out of the pack. The straight-edged blades would take a little more practice from me and, perhaps, a little extra sharpening. I like the little sharpening stone that comes with this as well as the useful zippered storage pouch. Also enjoy the wooden handles, which are often much nicer to hold than plastic. Nice set for me, inexpensive, and I'm glad I got it.

Great for little projects
Works great and very sharp for working on pine wood derby cars. The handles easy to use and the price was great for doing little wood projects.

Great starter product but keep in mind!
Great starter for new wood carvers! It’s decently sharp which makes it a little hard to use but good for the money you spend on it. It’s small so you can use it for more details, will warn you! If you get them stuck in the wood the knife part will detach from the wood easy to fix just some glue. Other than that I don’t have any problem with it been using it every time I carve and I’ve enjoyed every second

Let me tell you . From a newbie
I am new to wood carving but I'm gonna say these are great tools. I'm not having any concern with them . They work great.

Decent for bare beginner
These are cheap tools made for small hands and very (very) soft wood or linoleum. Could be useful for detail work, but again the quality of the tips isn't top shelf. Comes with a little stone and handy case to keep it all together. Price does indicate quality in this case.

I use them for pumpkin carving! Worked great! I did a multilayer pumpkin so different amounts of light came though.

For the price I was quite pleased, it also came with a sharpening tool. The blades are not the hardest but priced right.

Good knives but only three came sharp. I shouldn't have to sharpen the knives before I even use them.

Soft metal...hard to keep an edge without resharpening every 5-10 minutes of use. Good for small softwood projects...not so good for hardwoods
