We love that it was able to provide comfort while driving the kids to school, going out for dinner, running errands and laying down comfortably while watching shows in bed back at home. It last for more than 8 hours but feels even hotter the longer you keep it on. It recommends putting it on top of a clothing such as sports bras; this case it was for my pregnant wife whose ribs are bothersome by the stretching of her belly. This is a great value and is priceless because of the relief it’s given her! It even helps if you have discomfort from sciatic nerve pain. The damage may be irreversible in some cases, but the relief you get from this portable, quality heat pad Is irreplaceable

Great for back pain when riding long distances in a car

I have used this product before as well as other similar back pain products. I like the Thermacare best because it is easier to use, is in one piece, fits me well, is easy to adjust and lasts a long time. I use it mostly to keep the muscles of my lower back limber and to prevent pain and spasms. While it doesn't prevent the spasms 100% it certainly helps a lot. (I am a gardener and do a lot of bending over.) Not only does it provide heat, but it offers some support as well. It is my go-to product for my lower back.

These things are fantastic for pain relief. I've used them ever since I blew out my back, and they work better than OTC drugs for both fast and long-lasting pain relief. The heat dies down after about two hours, leaving only residual warmth for several hours afterward, but the pain relief lasts well after the height of the heat has gone. However, these are not built for heavier bodies, and the securing band will twist and bunch if you aren't extremely careful. It really needs something else (like a ripstop or weightlifting belt) to keep it in place if you are sitting or active. The velcro is sufficient if you are still, but you'll definitely want something clamping down over it if you're moving a lot. Still, the heat is so effective at combating pain that I can't complain much. I've ordered more and will order them again.

This brand never let's me down. Works well. Good value. No smell. Heats nicely and for a good amount of time. Not thick, flexible. Fit well.

The ThermaCare Pain Relief patches bring relief from back pain! I was very pleased with the relief I received from using the back patch. It is very easy to use, and the pictures are very clear on how to put it on. It lasted the full 8 hours, and the carry over relief was good for another 8 hours. In my original order I wanted a box of the neck and shoulder patches but it was out of stock and my order was cancelled. Hope they come back in as I would love to try them. These work so go ahead and order them!

In a trip I got a really bad pain in my back when I tried to lift up my bag( around 20k) It was two days of hard pain that I couldnt even crouch, pain was so bad I went to the first pharmacy I found and luckily they sold me this, after just one heatwraps I felt the relief in my back and after two days I was at 100%

The ThermaCare heating pads are activated by air when they are unwrapped. They wrap around your torso, with a velcro-type closure. It's long enough to accommodate just about any figure. I usually strap it around over a t-shirt in case it gets too hot. It takes a while to get up to full heat, but the heat then lasts for hours -- from morning to night. If your backache is relieved by heat, this product is for you.
