IQ Toys Huge 300 Piece Military Base Set, 200 Soldiers & 100 Army Accessories in a Storage Container

I picked these up for my nephew for Christmas. He loves them! It’s true the vehicles are not to scale, they were not to scale when I was playing with army men 40 years ago either!!! It’s imaginative play, it doesn’t matter. As for some of them not being perfect and in need of a little trimming (excess plastic out of the molding) I remember them being that way when I was a kid also. I love that they come with their own sturdy container that makes clean up easy. Do not hesitate to buy these. The kid(s) will have fun with them.

My lil boy loves this set, it has a lot of different men and in different colors so he can use them all in a group setting. The bin is sturdy and holds them all great!

Easy to set up battle and pretend play. A great way to learn about battle strategy or reenact different battles from war.

I was tasked with buying a gift for a seven year old boy in a group of kids we were having a toy drive before. Everything I looked at seemed to have batteries or needed replacement inks, papers, goos, etc. or else was a game requiring multiple players. Then I thought about what I wanted when I was that age and it was easy. No batteries or replacement supplies than an underprivilged kid (or even a privileged one) might have trouble obtaining. Can be played with friends or alone. Is washable. Can withstand almost any accidental damage other than dog teeth. It's the perfect boy toy (maybe some girls would like it but I'm not prepared to say which ones) and it all goes into a convenient plastic carrying case with a handle.

Pros 1. Fun for kids of all ages and a suitable for gifts or holiday seasons. 2. Good start up for kids interested in toy soldiers collecting. 3. Good quality copies of the original Marx and Airfix with fair pricing. Cons. 1. No storage container for new batch releases. 2. Too many pine trees and too many barb wires (double than the stock photos in the item listing description) included in this set. 3. Wish could have more variations of convoy trucks with missile launchers and few more artillery cannons to balance the total pieces. Good value for the money

The quality is okay. For the price, you get what you get. As for value, it's relatively inexpensive, so t he value is reasonable. The plastic material is durable for the individual figures, but the detail on the uniform and face is distorted. However, for the price, it's pretty decent for my youngest son. The accessories that come with it are pretty cheap, but they keep him entertained. The size of the figures is pretty standard compared to other "army men" figures. As for the appropriate age range, I would say any age between 4 - 10 years old.

We bought these for our great grandson who turned 4 and he LOVES them!!! He is always playing with them!

A lot of the vehicles are a lot smaller than they appear in the photos. The soldiers are a nice soft plastic and have good quality, but some pieces came bent, easily bent back though. Some of the bases of the soldiers have trouble going back into place, causes them to struggle to be stood up.

After i had counted i had come to the conclusion that i had only gotten 294 pieces including the bin and lid as one. So i had had been given 210 army men instead of two hundred and only 73 items instead of one hundred so it was a bit of a rip off however its more of a variety pack so i get that their is less then the description says but the big turn down for me is that cannons in the picture of the pack clearly come with six but i only received two which was a big disappointment for me being it was my favourite item in this pack and all the vehicles where under half the size of the ones in the picture and the tents couldn't even fit on army guy standing inside. but its a great pack if your trying to build a army.
