Good Fit, but Limited Reach and Ineffective
Pros Superior Fitment: Unlike the small A1 (S2) brush heads, which I found were far too tight to fit onto the handle properly, these A2 (M) large heads click into place securely and fit the emmi-pet toothbrush handle as they should. Front Tooth Access: These large heads work reasonably well on the flat, accessible surfaces of the front teeth (incisors and canines). Truly Silent: The vibration-free operation is excellent for desensitising nervous pets to oral care without the "buzz" of a traditional electric brush. Cons: Plaque and Tartar Build-up: Following the manufacturer’s and sales reps' "no scrubbing" instructions led to disappointing results. My dogs previously had clean teeth, but within several weeks of using this system as directed, one developed visible plaque and the other developed visible tartar. In the case of the dog with tartar, using this system according to the manufacturer's instructions has actually expedited rather than delayed the need for professional veterinary dental scaling. Poor Reach in Cheek Pockets: These larger heads are difficult to manoeuvre into the tight cheek pockets of small-to-medium dogs. I found it nearly impossible to reach all surfaces of the back molars effectively, which is where build-up is often most severe. Fragile Ultrasound Transmission: The company emphasises that if a dog chews the brush, the bristles will not effectively transmit the ultrasound waves. Consequently, they must be replaced every 3 months—or more frequently if the bristles become damaged or frayed. High Ongoing Costs: The manufacturer insists the system must be used with their proprietary toothpaste. Sales reps on forums often recommend reapplying the paste every time the brush is moved in the mouth, making the ongoing cost incredibly high. Misleading Sales Claims: Reps often suggest this replaces professional veterinary scaling. However, the British Veterinary Association (BVA) warns that pets can have white teeth while suffering from deep periodontal disease, abscesses, or tumours that only a vet can diagnose with a clinical exam and X-rays. Owner Advice for Responsible Use: Prioritise Vet Exams: Use this only for surface maintenance. Never assume white teeth mean a healthy mouth; always trust a veterinarian’s clinical diagnosis over a salesperson’s marketing. Use a Clean Cloth: Given the manufacturer's warning that scrubbing can damage the bristles and stop ultrasound transmission, I suggest using a clean, soft cloth to wipe the teeth after using the device. This provides the necessary mechanical friction to remove softened plaque without ruining the expensive brush head. Check for Damage: If your dog bites the head, replace it immediately. Damaged bristles cannot transport the ultrasonic waves to the teeth. The Bottom Line While the emmi-pet system with the A2 (M) heads fits the handle correctly, it allowed plaque and tartar to build up when I followed the "no-scrub" instructions. It is a supplementary tool at best and should never be used as a reason to skip essential professional veterinary dental care.

Be very careful what you order from Emmi-Pet - you will be refused refund for toothbrush heads.
Ordered with emmi pet dog toothbrush. Not even removed from packaging. Toothbrush not fit for purpose, will not charge even after 48 hours. Wanted refund for both items. Amazon said no refund for tooth brush heads????????? Why not. They are of absolutely no use to me whatsoever. What a CON.

Ho acquistato queste testine per poter avere a disposizione il cambio nel caso in cui la testina che ho trovato nel kit iniziale dovesse consumarsi. Consiglio decisamente il prodotto, mi sono trovata benissimo.
