Zoom Eyepiece for 66 mm and 60 mm Spotting Scopes

The LER and 30x wide EP's are where it is at. Both are superb. The 9z zoom is gives a near soda straw experience for glasses wearers. I scrutinized all 3 eps . Dont waste your time or money on the zoom ep. The LER ep is a shear pleasure to use and the 30x w is clear as a bell. The Zoom works just be prepared to look through the tunnel. For the money of the 9z zoom you can buy a 7120 and actually get better eye relief and brighter image (directly compared to this kowa zoom , on an 82sv and an older tsn1.) Again buy the wonderful LER or the 30xw.

The eye relief is very short, but it does what I need it to do.

I bought this eyepiece for my Kowa 661 spotting scope. I had been using the 25X LER eyepiece for years before, but felt I needed a little more magnification for field use. It obviously has less eye relief, but even with glasses I can get a full field of view. The view is bright and clear as I expected all the way through the power range.

Holds focus all the way through the zoom (20 power to 60 power). There is some tunnel vision as you move closer to 60 power. I like the zoom eyepiece, but I will be purchasing the LER eyepiece as well (27 power).

This eye piece works for the 82mm objective scope as well. It is a fixed power 25-27X depending on what scope body you couple with it. It is also a "long" eye relief. Spec'd at 32mm but that is for full field of view. You can get twice as far away if focusing on a say a humanoid size target at 1000yds. Comes with a rubber eye cup that establishes the eye relief distance and protects the eye piece lens to some extent. My only negative on this eye piece is that the lens is glued into the metal cylinder rather sloppily but does not seem to affect the image in any way. For what it costs, I expected better QC, fit and finish.

Great price and quality

Really needed a zoom eyepiece out to at least 200 yds. This is working out very well for me.
