A fine quality product that works as described. A straight forward splitter for HDMI signals. It has helpful indicator lights. It arrives well packed and damage free. Removes HDCP.

Still works great to bypass HDCP, having issues with recent 2025 Roku models though, the splitter only allows HD capturing, 4K output being detected and blocked. I can confirm the 4k 2021 model of the Roku streaming box works

This worked great.. while it worked. I don’t use it for 2 weeks and when I plugged it back in it just quit. Still powers on but zero signal! Total BS

These work with my setup, running my PS5 and Nintendo Switch to a switcher, to this, to the passthrough for my Elgato 60X, and I don't need to tweak the PS5 settings for the HDMI either. I'm probably still returning this because I managed to acquired one that uses USB C for power and which is advertised as HDMI 2.1, but this seems like a good choice and is cheaper than the higher end one I discovered. Would still recommend this one for most people. (Note that if you're powering the capture card off not-your-computer when you're using the passthrough, and when you plug everything in with this and the contents don't immediately appear on your screen, you probably want to start off by running the capture card to a computer with OBS or something open for the first setup time. Plugging in a different component (i.e. this switcher) in the chain has seemed to reset the PS5 settings to a different resolution, which wasn't compatible with my TV, so it appeared blank, but the source capture on my computer was able to be accepted, so I could see the computer screen and was able to change the resolution into something the TV could pick up. This may just be an issue because my TV is old and only runs in 720p or 1080i, though.) Anyway, would recommend, didn't see any issues with the sound quality or any visual degradation of the HDMI signal when I was testing it.

Got it to use on my PS3 to do some capturing and it was able to bypass the HDCP and record my gameplay.

ROKU. There's a review here (Aug 3rd, 2025) where the reviewer claims that this device blocks all signal or otherwise does not work with Roku. I rarely find it necessary to post a review of my own in response to someone else's, but that particular review has 4 people who "found it useful". The claim is simply, categorically, NOT TRUE!!! My need for this item is rooted in providing a very easy-to-follow tutorial for my less-than-tech-savvy external Plex users after Plex Corp dropped the abomination of all Roku app updates the week of September 14th, 2025. Because of the Roku HDCP blocking, there's no way to cleanly capture screens of the new app UI to help grandma use Plex. I've taken pictures of the necessary screens with my potato phone and have had others send me better pics using their superior phone cameras. I still end up needing to adjust the images in Photochop and, frankly, they just don't meet my expectations of polish for tutorial imagery. I ordered the item on this listing (and the "CORSAHD 4K@60Hz HDMI Splitter 1x2", as a just-in-case backup) specifically to get screenshots for my tutorial. The Roku and Plex UI's appear, are completely navigable, and my screenshots are crystal clear. (note: Amazon probably crushes pics submitted with reviews. the screen caps are pristine. apps blacked-out for privacy.) Details that may be helpful to some. Roku HDMI is plugged in as the input source. Output from HDMI 1 on this splitter feeds an "Avermedia Live Gamer 4k" capture card running on Windows 10 and uses version 4 of Avermedia's "RECentral" capture app. All HDMI cables used on either side of the splitter are the overkill-quality cables from "Highwings" (Amazon search term: "738626545635"). In any event, make sure you're using very, very high quality cables with your splitter and roku. I'm tickled pink with this product and happy to respond to someone else's unfortunately isolated incident. It's possible the DOA rate is higher than a typical product in this category. It happens. Manufacturing is hard.

The product worked as advertised. It blocked the HDCP signal and fit my need perfectly (I used it with a Hauppauge PVR for anyone who has a Hauppauge). I am so pleased with the product I intend to order another. Updated 10-20-25. I have purchased 3 of these products now and they all work great. I'm very pleased with them.

I have used this device a total of 6 times and now it is in a constant power on/off loop but I'm out of the return window. When installing I validated the exact requirements for the power supply and made sure to meet them. Terrible quality. Will be ordering a different device. Save yourself a headache an do the same. This device worked for about 5 uses over the course of 5 months.

I was using a different HDMI splitter to allow my cable box to bypass the HDCP to work with my television. I recently got an upgraded cable box and my previous splitter wouldn’t allow the HDCP handshake with my TV anymore, so I ordered this one and it fixed the problem right away. Seems to be good quality materials, hopefully it works for a long time.

This splitter works fine and removes HDCP from firestick to be able to capture the video.
