Saved me buying a whole new opener
I didn't think this individual part would be available for Genie screw drives. Lo and behold it is. It seems to be of the same quality as the original. Just a tip, maybe your last one stripped because of lack of lubrication. I hadn't lubricated mine in years. The door sounded like a banshee when opening. Clean the threaded rod thoroughly when you put the new part on and apply high-quality white lithium grease in a strip from limit switch to limit switch on the screw rod. After I opened and closed it twice post-maintenance, the door sounded so quiet I couldn't believe it. I'm in Canada so I bought the extreme temperature lithium grease in a tube from Canadian Tire for about 12 bucks. Last part lasted 20 yrs with little lube. This one will be treated better.

Tend to lubricants
The part is original to the opener so of course it fits properly. My unit is 11 years old so I would expect some wear and tear. I probably should have paid more attention to maintenance, but who does. Good part, well priced.
