Review: This really works, and it's adorable, too! - I LOVE Nana Hats and REALLY believe they work! I bought this one as a gift for a family member, but I have the Monkey version that I use every day and it keeps our bananas fresh for such a long time. They are easy to use and SUPER cute. I am going to get the Pirate and Octopus ones as gifts, too. I highly recommend this! Review: It doesn't work to slow down ripening - I have to wonder if these were actually lab tested because they don't seem to slow down the ripening process at all. We go through a lot of bananas but sometimes I buy more than we can get through before they get too overripe to eat (when it's time to freeze them)). I've had bunches with the hat and without the hat and they both get overripe very quickly. At times I have seen the bananas with the hats ripen quicker than the ones without. I like how cute they are but there is no results of the intended function whatsoever.

Somewhat Effective, Too Small
This is a cute banana topper. But, it isn't that effective. It does slow the browning process, by maybe a day or two. But, it is too small and too hard to get on. A bunch of 4 medium size bananas is about its max - and at that it is very hard to get the topper on without damaging a banana, which significantly defeats any benefit the topper may provide.

Good Product
Bought several of these to give as stocking stuffers. They're good and really work. I highly recommend this product! :)

Cute, but useless
I probably should have thought about this one a little longer, but it came recommended from a reputable website, so I bought one. I got the strawberry - or maybe it's a watermelon? - and yes, it does make a bunch of bananas look cute. So a star for that. But what these little caps are _supposed_ to do is delay ripening, and being a lover of slightly-green bananas, that's what I was after. So I did an experiment. I bought a bunch of bananas and split it into two separate sub-bunches. I capped one of them with the Nana Hat and left the others like I always have*. The result? They ripened at about the same rate. If anything, the capped bananas may have ripened just a touch faster, although I'm not sure how significant the difference is - or would be, with multiple tries. This is very disappointing. As a slightly-green banana lover, it's back to the drawing board for me - only buy them when they look right, eat them within a couple of days. *Discerning scientists will note that thus far this experiment only has an N of 1, and I have the Nana Hat now so I'll be doing repeat experiments. If subsequent experiments go differently, I will update this review.

Game changer for bananas
This really works. My second purchase. Lost my first one. Game changer for keeping banana fresh

Use plastic wrap and a rubber band
I had high hopes for this product after seeing it on Shark Tank. Unfortunately it wouldn't stay on one bunch, and under the other one when I took it off there was mold under, and the bananas ripened at thw same rate as the ones where the cap came off. I have had much better luck keeping bananas from ripening too fast with a piece of plastic wrap and a rubber band.

Works.

I thought for the price I would try these. Keeps the bananas fresh at least another week. Recommend.

oh look you cannot give a 1 star review!!! anyways because the silicone caps are tapered they pop off the banana stems if you attempt to cap too many bananas. DO NOT BUY

They don’t work like I thought they would.
