Really great books, especially for kids with a sense of humor.

We own the entire series and eagerly await the latest book. This is very much a dad and son series for us right now, but my younger girl is showing interest! Great storylines and characters. A funny, thrilling, and twisting in plot drawing on many sci-fi tropes you'll recognize from movies. I've had such fun developing unique voices for each of the characters and I turn the page with genuine interest, wondering what will come next. Fantastic illustrations cover every page (often multiple panels per page) and my kid is learning to read thanks to the use creative and exciting fonts. Plus there are some real messages about right and wrong choices, overcoming the prejudices of other and girl power, all presented in an original and fun manner. I have not found anything else that comes close to the quality of these books for my child. Pure joy for us both. Bring on the movie!

My son really enjoyed this one. He’s been following the Bad Guys series and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. This book had more action and surprises, especially with Mr. Snake’s role—it definitely kept him turning the pages. Great mix of humor and adventure for young readers.
