These are an exact fit, and an easier to remove design that what originally came in the washer. Original design is a two piece version that clicks together, and is nearly impossible to remove without destroying. These have a hoop that can be used to grab onto for removal. Can't say how long they last yet, but they can easily be removed for cleaning, unlike the originals. Best way to remove originals is to stab near center with a small pick tool, and use a 90 degree pick tool to hook into the hole and pull straight out. The originals have no tab to grab onto with pliers, and if you have well water, good luck pulling out one that is dirty. Water fill time is back to normal, and a cheap fix. Would recommend to replace with these even if your originals are still fine, because someday they won't be...
