This is a great formula for our senior dog. We've noticed a lot of improvement in his mobility and overall comfort. I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to warn against a couple of things when using this formula. A few people who did review lamented that there is no pump that comes with this bottle. I was one of those people as well -- why would the manufacturer make it so hard to dispense this formula, and make it so that we have to measure it out each time? It gets really messy and the liquid itself is unpleasant (though my dog LOVES it). So I bought a pump on Amazon to attach to this bottle and it worked like a dream, but then I went to clean it one day and found that the plastic parts to this pump were actually melting into the glucosamine formula. The glucosamine formula was literally melting this plastic. The disintegrated, sticky plastic got all over my hands and was very difficult to wash off with soap. I am horrified that it was seeping into the formula that we were feeding my dog — we did notice that he was having stomach issues but we thought it was just because he was getting older. Our vet believed this as well, so she prescribed Omeprazole, which helped. I am devastated that he has been ingesting plastic this whole time and we have thrown the bottle and pump away immediately and we anticipate his stomach issues will lesson with time. PLEASE think twice when getting a pump. I only had this pump attached to the bottle for three months and it scares me to think if I didn't catch it sooner, how much more sick my dog would have become. If you are to use a pump, I would suggest using it once, then taking it out of the bottle and rinsing it for the next use and not leaving in the bottle (though that does eliminate any convenience the pump brings to the equation). There is a reason why this bottle doesn't come with a pump AND why it comes in a heavy-duty industrial plastic bottle: so the formula doesn't disintegrate it.

We have tried countless joint supplements on our Cane Corso. None has worked. After just a week or so on K9 5000 our girl can move a little easier. She has back and hip issues and was in pain all the time. She can run around the yard now and not get stoved up!

Best ingredients and it would really make a difference in my dog’s mobility

I like this joint supplement- it is more complete and meets the levels of ingredients actually needed by the dog than most other I have seen. My dog eats it willingly and licks the spoon. What I hate is the bottle. When I shake it well (as directed), some of it gets into the threads of the screw cap. Then when I close it back up and put it away, it leaks down the side, leaving a big sticky mess that crusts on the bottle and my fridge if I do not wipe off the bottle and cap every time I use it. Even though this is a small amount each time, over the life of the bottle I think it is quite wasteful. A flip-cap would be MUCH better for this product. This picture is after only a few days use without wiping it down- even though I am very careful when pouring into the measuring spoon, it gets everywhere from the liquid that gets in the threads of the cap.

Seriously wish I knew about this years ago. My dog acts 3 years younger and Im not even finished with one bottle yet. I can tell when I forget to give this to him. Also, he loves it!! Hes been a picky eater all his life and now eats every meal.
