PAMPERED CHEF 2431 8 CUP GLASS CLASSIC BATTER BOWL NEW 2013 STYLE WITH LID

I specifically ordered this batter bowl because the picture showed the original bowl with lid, which is what I desperately wanted to replace. Instead, I got the crappy new bowl that is shorter, more pointy, and the lid barely stays on the top! I never would have ordered it if the picture showed the other bowl. This is false advertising, which is incredibly disappointing!

I really like it. It’s large and definitely for those of us who cook in large batches and/or want the ease of measuring out quantities over 4 cups at once. If you do not have the space to store it or you are not good at handling large hefty mixing bowls, this is not for you. The quality is good, but it is not to be treated like smaller measuring cups. I have turned/ tumbled over my 2 cup a couple of times and it survived, but this I know will chip and or break if subjected to that roughness.

Less than 4 years after purchase, while defosting Spinach in the microwave, the handle became so hot that it caused 1st and second degree burns. The bowl then shattered. Two shattered pieces landed on the floor and burnt it.

Excellent product very sturdy.

Being glass it does tend to be rather heavy, lid fits snuggly and is fantastic when bread to rising.
