You'll never go back to other mats
I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I practice hatha 2x/week. I've had lower-end yoga mats from red-and-white-superstore my whole life. But, not after this mat. I was shocked. I didn't realize the difference in quality. This is a beautiful investment that will make all the difference in protecting your joints and finding stability. The grip is unreal. No slipping in DD. There's a rubbery smell, but it's fading. The weight is heavier than cheap ones, but it will last a very long time. It's my brand new baby and I love her. I scanned the whole internet, and picked this brand, which is also eco friendly. High quality for about $80 (this color was even less.) Spend the money and get one if you can afford it. You won't go back.

Worth Every Penny – No More "Yoga Toes"!
I started my yoga journey with a Gaiam mat, and while it got me through the basics, I quickly noticed it was wearing down fast—especially during flow and balancing poses. I ended up with tiny rips on my toes (aka "yoga toes"), which was both painful and frustrating. Since switching to the Manduka eKO Lite mat, it’s been a total game-changer. The grip is incredible, the cushioning is just right, and it holds up beautifully through sweat, stretching, and daily practice. I’ve had zero issues with traction or toe damage since making the switch. The quality is obvious the moment you unroll it—and yes, the price is higher than budget mats, but it’s absolutely worth the investment for serious comfort, performance, and durability. I also pair it with the Manduka carrying strap, which makes it super easy to transport to and from classes. Highly recommend this combo to any yogi who’s ready to upgrade! 🧘♀️💪

My rubber roots (
This is a great mat. Manduka is always highly recommended. And I really love that this one is biodegradable, and won’t give me some weird thyroid disease or something lol. That said, DO NOT leave it in the sun. I roll mine inside-out to protect the natural rubber from the elements. After practicing twice daily on it for two months, I’ve bonded with my mat. It’s stable and an amazing cushion. My *only* virgo critique, is that maybe it’s TOO sticky. Makes it very difficult to drag your feet, if you need to. The stickiness holds a towel very well though. I carry it in a sling as I walk to the shala, very portable. Comfortable for sitting long periods. To wash, i use i tiny bit of acv, one or two drops of tea tree, diluted in water in a spray bottle. Then i wet a rag with water and scrub. Hang dry (out of the sunlight!!!!!!!). Don’t use too much oils on it, beware! The design is fun and cute, though not busy. Classy. Be like water, my friends!

This is my second eKO mat. I now have a travel mat and one just for the house.
The only thing I wish was that it was thicker. 4mm is thinner I have learned. That said, I am keeping it. It is an excellent mat for yoga. It provides superior grip. I know my hands are not going to slip in down dog. I already own the eKOlite travel yoga mat. I love it. It stayed in my gym bag in the car so it was always handy. It is COVID now. I took it out of my car to use in the house because my house yoga mat wasn’t nearly the same quality. I purchased this one after forgetting to put my travel one in the car when I went away. There were no brick and mortar stores that had a yoga mat. I tried using a towel to do yoga while away. It didn’t work well at all. I wanted another eKOlite mat because my travel mat is 2 years old and is still in great shape and the stickiness works like the first day I used it I do clean it but not nearly as much as I should. I also chose the eKOlite because it is eco friendly, made from biodegradable non-Amazon harvested natural tree rubber. Another factor in choosing is the length. I am 5’7 and the 68 inch mats work well enough but I wanted something a little longer. The 3 inches of what this provides is exactly what I needed. I also chose this because of its superior grip. It does have a natural rubber scent when first used. I remember this with my first one. It did last a bit of time for the odor to go away. It does go away though. The 4 mm thickness is dense. It is not soft. I was concerned about this with my knees at first. I laid out Another more plush yoga mat next to this one and alternated between the two to see the difference. What I realized was my knee sank to the floor on the plush one not really providing me with much padding anyhow. The eKO mat is very stable under me. It feels the same no matter what pose I am in.

Great deal on a great mat
My gym has an infrared yoga studio, and I do three types of classes there: Flow which is like vinyassa, Deep Stretch, which is exactly that, changing stretch postures every 6 minutes or so, and Restore, in which you just chill out. My gym also uses Manduka mats, straps, blocks and bolsters, so I felt that the quality would be there. Overall, I am very pleased with the mat, although as many have pointed out, you do have to let it air out to get the rubber smell out of the mat. Frankly, when I am doing child's pose, I still smell rubber, but my face is down on the mat. The mat is very thin, but sturdy. It rolls easily to go to and from the gym. I was delighted to find it quite comfortable for Savasana considering how thin it is. It offers a lot of traction which is usually great, but sometimes I find myself sticking to the mat. All in all, I think this mat is well worth the price.

yoga
Grips amazingly, it slips a little after cleaning it. Be sure to read cleaning instructions. They're heavier material but plant derived and an amazing upgrade from my generic yoga mat I've held onto for years. Thank you Manduka! Many Blessings

AWFUL Smell!!!
I got this yoga mat this past Christmas for my wife because it was supposed to be high quality. Well, there's a big problem! It smells like petroleum distillates, rubber....so bad she can't use it. We've aired it out continally, thinking it needed some time, but this awful odor won't go away. Can't return, I guess, so don't buy this product or you'll get a headache. Big waste of money...don't know how to handle it.

2 Years Later - Still an awesome mat
It takes some time to break in, but this is an awesome mat and I love it. I got it 2 years ago and use it once a week for about an hour. It is still in wonderful condition, true to their lifetime guarantee. My only complaint is I wish it was longer, but I’m a tall guy and didn’t get one of their XL mats.
