Powerful cooling for Zwift – bought a second one (remote is brilliant)
I bought this fan specifically for Zwift indoor cycling (smart trainer) and home cardio/HIIT workouts. Before buying, I watched a lot of reviews and wanted something powerful, reliable and easy to use. What I like: • Genuinely strong airflow – it moves a lot of air for its size and makes a big difference during harder sessions. • Remote control + standby mode – perfect for indoor training, as you can adjust settings without interrupting your ride/workout. • Excellent cable (3.6 metres) – the power cable feels thick, well insulated and sturdy, yet still flexible. The 3.6 m length is a real bonus if your socket isn’t right next to your trainer. • Compact and easy to move – ideal for a medium-sized room and simple to reposition. After a week, I was happy enough to order a second identical fan. Using two fans has been a game-changer: I place one to my right, and the other in front or slightly to the left, and it noticeably reduces overheating and discomfort during longer rides. One more thing I love: I attached both remotes to my bike’s handlebars, so I can control each fan independently (one remote per fan) without stopping or getting off the bike. Things to know: • It’s not silent, but for me it’s not a problem. I ride with Zwift sounds through a Bluetooth speaker and after a while I barely notice the fan noise. The cooling performance is absolutely worth it. • At £99.99, it may feel a bit pricey compared with basic fans, but considering the remote control and strong performance, it’s good value (cheaper versions without a remote do exist). • The plastic feels a bit budget for the price, but I prioritised performance over looks. In winter (February), I’m mostly using it on speed 1, which is already enough. I expect I may need speed 2 in summer, but so far it’s been excellent. It’s not perfect, but for indoor cycling it’s been outstanding — and that’s exactly why I bought a second one. Overall, I’d confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a proper cooling fan for indoor cycling and indoor fitness workouts.

Strong breeze.
Used for indoor cycling on Rouvy and it is almost too strong even on the first setting. It will be great in the summer but if it is a bit chilly it is frezzing. works well. It is quite noisy but it is a sports fan and does what it is supposed to do - keep you cool. Remote is a handy feature so you don't have to get off the bike to alter the speed and having the tripod mounting facility helps with the correct positioning. (It can blow the tripod over if not facing the right direction). Pleased with the purchase.

Essential kit for indoor cycle training
Bought exclusively to cool us when using an indoor cycle-trainer. So far, this purchase has been a magnificent improvement on the two 12" diameter table-top fans we used previously. It's also much more compact and feels very robust. The speed of the airflow (even at the lowest setting) and its precise direction make a dramatic difference. The remote control on the handlebar makes a huge difference to comfort and controllability, and the sense of being in a well-equipped gym. The airflow feels much more like a real outdoor headwind, without the unfortunate slowing effect. It's also significantly quieter than I was expecting. Even in midwinter our old fans were barely adequate, but I believe the Vacmaster should be good right through a hot summer.

Powerful fan, wish I’d bought it years ago
Absolutely brilliant fan. Used it during the winter (I have a turbo set up in the garage) and it was too cold - too powerful, so had to cover half the fan outlet on setting 1. During the hotter months it’s amazing. Only used the first setting or I’ll have to wear clear glasses to stop my eyes watering. Only issue is the remote. To change the battery you have to strip it right down and its uses an obscure battery which means I’ll have another lot of batteries to buy - why not design it like a car remote using a CR2032 style batterie

Whoosh! 😬 Long term review
Bought this two years ago and been using it regularly for training on rollers. The air flow doesn't have a wide spread so positioning takes a little bit of trial and error. It's immensely powerful so perfect for those high intensity sessions. The remote is mounted on handlebars so no danger of embarrassingly flying off the rollers whilst fumbling for the remote. I wrapped the remote unit in cling film before inserting it into it's cradle to protect from sweat but this wasn't necessary since the air flow from the fan is so powerful that the sweat just gets blown away before it reaches the unit. It's very noisy but this is honestly a non-issue since the rollers are much noisier and it's not used for anything other than training. Overall an absolutely superb floor fan.

Better than any other floor fan I have used before
Whether on the floor horizontally dispersing cool air whilst participating in floor activities or at 45 degrees when on a static bike/treadmill, this fan will keep you cool for the whole of your session and limit your sweating. Really impressed with this fan. It has a a remote control which you can use whilst on a static bike/treadmill for those intense stages of a workout. Position I is generally enough for a normal workout and position II of the fan for when you need it most. Position III has not been called upon but expect to have a 30mph breeze blowing on you if that's what you need. I found the best distance to operate is around 1.5mtrs from a static bike and 2 mtrs from a treadmill. Fan can be wall mounted with included brackets but you will need to buy a VESA mount as an add on. Can be coupled with several of the same fans for larger rooms. This serves well a 3mtr x 4mtr room.

Perfect for home gym and peloton
Remote control fan is absolutely great for peloton and other home exercises. I start in the early morning when I don't want a fan on because it's cold, but after 10 minutes I need that fan! Having the remote control mounted on the peloton bike handlebar means that I don't have to dismount, I can start it and adjust the speed as necessary. Fan can be positioned to blow along the ground (probably good for drying concrete), 45 degrees (how I use it) and 90 degrees (blows up your nose but I'm sure it's good for something) - and of course you can make minor adjustments with household objects like books or rug. Very powerful fan, lowers my heart rate which is excellent for exercise, and fairly quiet. It might be better if there were more differences in speed, eg top speed is fantastic but I'd like bottom speed to be a bit gentler

Simply Brilliant
If you ride/run indoors in any shape or form buy this!! I have tried (friends) large expensive stand fans, decent mini clip fans right by my head and it’s not until you try something like this you realise what you need for indoor cycling/running is a very specific direct headwind. The wahoo version is twice the price - and arguable twice as pretty - but does the same job. For this in the know that are now saying the wahoo Varys with you heart rate or pace - this is true but when you got inside it doesn’t matter if you heart rate or speed has dropped you just don’t cool as quick so you need a constant strong blast of cool air. The remote gives the control of on/off and speed you need and works seamlessly. It has a few different resting angles to give you half a chance at getting the air in just the right direction but this has a wide vertical spread - head to stomach from 1.5m away I’d say and is very powerful! Best £100 I’ve spent for my indoor exercise
