I love mikasa. The quality, look, and functionality all are worth the price. I love the salad plates with this set, they are deep. A cup arrived chipped from the bottom where it was not glazed, and a plate had some gunk on the side. It was probably glue. The packaging was very nice. This set is easily stackable, not too think, light weight, and is dishwasher safe so definitely easy to clean. I am happy with my purchase. Great house warming gift!

Simple but elegant plate set. They are good quality. I use them everyday. And I use them in the dishwasher. I love the small little bowls. I use them almost daily for just about anything. Great!

I purchased two sets of this dinnerware and couldn’t be happier! The design is elegant and timeless, yet the pieces are incredibly durable. They’re truly chip-resistant—even with my tendency to be a bit rough with dinnerware—and they hold up beautifully. I also appreciate that they're dishwasher and microwave safe. One small note: the dishes do get hotter than some of my other ceramic pieces when microwaved, so I just handle them with extra care. Overall, this set is a perfect blend of beauty and practicality—I highly recommend it!

This set is beautiful and of good quality. They are lightweight and thinner than I expected but I really like them. Unfortunately, one of the bowls arrived broken. I dreaded the idea of having to repackage everything and haul it to Staples to return the heavy box, so I decided to reach out to their support department. They replied within a day or two and just asked for proof of purchase and pictures of the damage. They quickly replied to inform me that they'd be shipping a replacement of not one, but four, bowls. I could keep the extras. I was super relieved to know that I didn't have to repackage everything and take a trip to the store, neither did I have to return the broken bowl. They have gained a customer for life with their excellent customer service.

Mikasa is a brand I have seen in my household while growing up. Today when I run a house of my own, Mikasa is the one brand I completely trust with my dinnerware needs. This set is extremely stylish and durable. The dishes are lightweight. They are long lasting as I have other Mikasa sets which have lasted me years and years. Overall, I highly recommend this set. It is great for formal dinners and perfect for a larger group of people. The price is very reasonable too. If you are looking to make a long term commitment with a dinner set then this is it! Bought these dishes because I wanted a good set of everyday dishes. Since they were listed as "Chip-Resistant" I thought everyday use was the goal. They are thin, small and seem more like cabinet dishes vs. everyday sturdy dishes. The plates are not uniform and have dips and curves. The small bowls are more for dipping sauces vs anything you could use as a cereal bowl. The "large" bowls are okay but I expected "LARGE" bowls. These can be used as small shallow cereal bowls. All in all a very poor representation of "everyday" dinnerware. See photo of bowls I had bought from big box store, those dishes are way sturdier than this set. Huge headache trying to rebox them to go back.

Daily dishware, lightweight and elegant

I really love the look of this set for everyday use. And the manufacturer was great to deal with when i contacted them. The downside - i actually received double small and large plates, and was missing both set of bowls and the mugs. I found Mikasa's email address on their website, emailed them pictures, and about a week or so later i received the missing pieces. I guess the upside is after some patience i now have extra plates if any do break. The fruit bowls are very small, but handy for well portioned snacks. Time will tell if the set is are durable (I'll update if any chip or break).

We just received our order a few weeks ago but our dishes arrived in good time with no chips or breaks. So far, we are happy with our purchase. Plates and bowls are a good size, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. The pattern is muted. Time will tell if this purchase was worth the money.

I purchased this set in April 22 since then I had to throw away 2 plates and this will be my third one. Prior to this I had the same set for years without any problems except that I wanted white plates instead of my red ones. Very disappointed with this product.
