The best induction burner we’ve used.
This is third induction burner we’ve bought in the last two years. The other two quit for various reasons. This one is noticeably better than the others. This burner has a much better temperature adjustment. The first we bought basically had high, medium, low, and boil. It worked really well but you didn’t have a lot of room to adjust the temp. The second one showed the actual temperature but made huge jumps between the temps, like you could go from 260 to 212 to 150. On this burner you can change the temperature in increments of 5 - 10 degrees. It makes it so much easier to control how fast your food cooks. The magnetizing ring is bigger on this one. The other burners are big enough to sit a large pan on but the ring is so small that you can’t cook evenly. I do wish the ring on this pan was bigger than it is, but I think it is the biggest you can get and works really well. The controls on this burner are easy to use. It has some features that we don’t use like program cook and setting the cook time. We just use the basic buttons and the temp adjustment. All three burners require the pan to stay on the burner while the unit is on. The big difference is that if you lift the pan off the burner this one will beep once then pause cooking while the others will beep at you continuously and occasionally just refuse to turn back on. Lastly, this one is quieter than the others we’ve used. They all run a fan while cooking but the fan on this one is quieter and it turns off faster after cooking than the others did. The only thing I don’t love is the pause/clear button. I keep expecting to tap it once to pause cooking and tap again to resume cooking, but the second tap turns the burner off. There’s a separate start button that resumes cooking and turns the burner on. This is not a big deal and may not even be an issue for most people. There are five cooks in my home and we unanimously agree that this is the best burner we’ve had so far.

Great NUWAVE Gold Portable Induction Cooktop!
This NUWAVE Gold PIC works great! We recently purchased a new Frigidaire Gallery Induction Range from Lowe's (which also works great!). Unfortunately, due to the current supply chain delays, we had to unexpectedly wait several weeks for the new range to be delivered by Lowe's (beyond the original estimated delivery date). In the meantime, we had donated our current 5 year old Whirlpool Gas Range (which still worked well) to Habitat For Humanity, so we had no stove to cook with. Needing something to cook with temporarily, we purchased a NUWAVE Gold PIC. This appliance is amazing. The NUWAVE cooktop heats quickly, and the temperature is very accurate and easy to control. This NUWAVE cooktop also works great with the new Circulon Premier Professional Cookware set that we purchased specifically for the new Frigidaire Induction Range. The NUWAVE cooktop will quickly and evenly heat any "magnetic" Induction capable cookware, from 3 inches up to 12 inches in diameter. The timer feature on the NUWAVE cooktop is very handy, and the cooktop cleans up easily. The 3 wattage settings also make the NUWAVE cooktop very portable for outdoor use, camping or RVing. The NUWAVE cooktop is quiet (just a slight cooling fan noise) and light, so it is easy to relocate and store. The included 10.5 inch skillet works well (for now anyway), but it is pretty much an abuse and throw-away pan compared to the Circulon cookware that we use regularly. When we initially purchase the NUWAVE cooktop it was just meant to be a temporary way to cook, until the new Frigidaire Induction Range arrived. However, the NUWAVE cooktop works so well that it has become an "extra" stove burner for parties and holidays. We also use the NUWAVE cooktop if we want to cook something quickly (single pot meal), without using the big high-wattage range, and as a portable outdoor burner to compliment the BBQ. Normally, We are a bit apprehensive about purchasing gimmicky "As Seen On TV" or "Infomercial" products. However, after extensive research, and reading the many positive reviews, we decided to give the NUWAVE cooktop a try. We can honestly say that we are very impressed with the NUWAVE cooktop, and we highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable cooktop and/or trying an Induction cooktop for the first time. You definitely will not be disappointed with the NUWAVE Gold PIC.

Wonderful
Moved to a new apartment a few years ago. Almost burnt the place up on 2 different occasions as items would fall on the electric stovetop and somehow turn the knob to "on" at the same time! So I removed all the knobs, removed the burners, put a cover over the stovetop and put this induction cooktop on top. Now I feel safe and I also have extra counterspace at the same time. I've been using this for the past 2 years. Never had a problem. Love the safety features. Easy to understand controls. It's not as quiet as an electric stovetop, but the noise level is not that bad. Especially when you think of what you gain. Precise temperatures, consistent heat, controllable power, and it's so much safer than an electric stovetop or even a gas-powered stovetop with flames. Very durable. Nice size. I also think it's great for seniors to have, or anyone who can be forgetful about whether they've turned the stove off or not.

Works very well, though temperature is off
The good: Noise not bad for the price. Looks great. Controls are easy to figure out without reading anything. Fairly solid - I feel ok putting my larger enamelled cast iron Dutch ovens on it. For higher temps like for oil fondue pot, where people are dropping their meats in it and cooling it down, it keeps up very well. The bad: I had initially hoped I could set it to 110F and let yoghurt culture in it, but even adjusting down to the lowest setting (100F) and 600W, it hits 116F. That’s a large margin of error. And that was when I was testing it with just water. Whenever I’ve checked the temp on a high quality thermometer accurate to +\- 1F, the liquids are always higher than the setting by several degrees. That said - great for hot pot or fondue in the middle of the table. Great for an extra burner with better temperature control than I can achieve on my gas cooktop.

I ordered one 2 years ago and really liked it. Used it instead of my stovetop gas burners for most things, as it was safer with no flame, boiled water quickly, and had much more precise and reliable temperature controls for simmering, as well as a logical and intuitive control layout that included a timer. A year later, I wanted to buy a second one, but they didnt seem to be available except for a model bundled with an intermediate-quality nonstick pan, which I didnt really need. So I got a Duxtop instead, based on consumer ratings from various websites. The Duxtop was much more cumbersome to use, had less precise temperature settings, a quirky, non-intuitive set of controls, and, worst of all, a timer that automatically reset the temperature back to baseline every time you used it. What? It was ok for boiling things, adequate for imprecise simmers, and pretty useless if you wanted to time anything. It was like a poor amateur imitation of the NuWave, adequate for simple tasks, but not really something you could cook with. After a while, we really got tired of it, bit the bullet, and bought another NuWave, with the included frying pan. The NuWave was great, just like our first one, and it was a real treat to have intuitive controls that really worked and seemed to make cooking effortless. Even the non-stick pan wasn't too bad, despite some of the negative reviews, and we're using it more and more. So far, it seems as good as our more expensive Scanpan CTX's, and is easier to clean. Time will tell, though. Overall, I am very satisfied with the NuWave, and wish I had gotten it right away instead of the Duxtop. The only advantage of having the Duxtop was to make me appreciate the NuWave that much more. With 2, we can move them to various locations if necessary, so 2 people can be cooking and not get in each other's way. We almost never use the gas stove burners now, and the kitchen is a safer, more efficient, more verasatile, and less messy place!

this is an amazing product and it is used every single day. Temperature over 450 degrees. Rapid boil and does everything a stove top is able to do.

In the past 20 years, this is my 3rd one, only due to the other may be starting to fail a bit. It takes longer to boil water now, after using it for nearly 10 years, often on a daily basis. Since the price is quite high now in Canada, and the availability to purchase, is extremely limited, I decided not to wait, but buy a new one while I can, which always gives me a backup, should my 10 year old one bite the dust. So for now, this new one is a spare. I use mine so much, that I don't want to be without it at any time, thus made the purchase while I could. The heat distribution, timer, reliability are excellent on these. Hands down the best one to buy. L Scott, Ontario, Canada Oct 9-23

This unit looks realy nice and functions as advertised. I use it in my kitchen to heat my 10" cast iron skillet. No complaints' there. The power cord is a little thinner than I expected. It's connection point to the unit is also not perfessional although suffice for it's operation. The cord can handle the power without getting hot.

This is my first induction cooktop and I am overall extremely impressed and very pleased. Cooked a stir fry this evening after receiving it a few hours earlier and could not be happier. I was initially worried there might be a high pitched noise like many reviews of other makes mentioned, but I was delighted to find there was very little noise at all (and I cooked at 1500w on high) other than a slight fan hum. My wok worked just fine on the 12” area and I believe most of my other existing cookware will also work. Very easy to clean and store, but I have a feeling it won’t be stored very often as it was really fun to use. The only question I have is where is the ‘off switch’… or is there one? I get that once you remove the cookware the heating area then turns off, but I haven’t figured out how to turn off the entire unit without having to unplug it each time. All kinds of new possibilities with this amazing gizmo. Very cool!
