FEL-PRO HS 26415 PT-1 Engine Cylinder Head Gasket Set for Subaru Forester

OEM kits are extremely expensive and this one is much more cost-effective while maintaining high quality. I used this to fix my sister's 09 Subaru Forester. Still running very strong with no issues. The parts seem to be perfectly made and also have upgraded design and materials so that they will not leak like the originals.

Fel-Pro is what I've gone with for two separate engine builds due to quality. So far, with 20k miles on one previously built with a similar gasket kit, and 100 miles on this kit for a 2007 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport, no issues. Installation is as easy as you make it. Can't beat the cost on Amazon with car parts, I think this was the cheapest place to find this kit.

Fel-Pro gives you a ton of gaskets in this kit. More than you might need if you’re replacing the head gaskets in your Subaru. I used this kit on a 2007 Outback and it worked great. Just make sure you install the head gaskets properly. Don’t put the passenger side on backwards because you’ll end up with oil all over the top of your engine and you have a mess to clean up and you have to take everything apart. (If you do, Fel-Pro also sells individual head gaskets.) Also, be sure to get your heads resurfaced and follow the bolt tightening sequence. Tip - use a paint pen to put a little line on the head of the bolts so you know when you’ve gone 45, 90 and 180 degrees. Follow all the steps properly and pay attention to detail and your Subaru will be running again in no time with this gasket set.

This is the second time replacing my wife's headgaskets on her subaru. Fel pro hasn't let me down. I will continue to buy this product. The gasket set has quality gaskets. The price is way better than factory and last longer in my opinion. Headgasket is no longer leaking. Fit perfectly.

Used on a 2010 subaru impreza NA, I mainly got this for the head gaskets, intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover, spark plugs, and thermostat. Came with many more gaskets than I needed but maybe one day they will come into use. I did not disassemble the head. But I am still happy I didnt have to go hunting for all the different gaskets. So far no leaks on the head gasket (only have 200 miles on it). I also looked on youtube and sanded the heads with sandpaper on a pane of glass, checked with a straight edge and feeler gauge and got it to .002 over the head.

Original headgaskets failed on my 2008 2.5i ej253 SOHC, at 290k. Had the heads machined / faced (even though they were within spec). Everything you need for the average rebuild. Gaskets are quality, and feel well made. We'll see how they hold up. Have had good luck with fel pro in the past. I'd you're working on an older Subaru, get a set of "coolant crossover pipe" o rings from the dealership, as this kit does not include them.
