Mattel Dolls of the World: Princess of South Africa Barbie

I just love this doll. Everything is exactly as described, only the doll looks better in person than in the product images. First of all, it's absolutely stunning -the prettiest doll I have seen so far. The paint job and her face are flawless; the eye makeup and golden lips compliment her dark skin, giving the doll a more glamorous look and feel. However, my guess is that this doll is meant more as a collector's item for adults, rather than a doll for children to play with and dress up. The outer rings and the colorful cape/blanket -which feels to be made of a felt material -that make up the outer half of the outfit are easily removable, but the dress, which is intricately patterned and has a sort of denim feel, and the golden rings around the doll's ankles and long neck, are hard to remove, while the headbands, are sewn on. The edition I received had a small dent on the side of the box, as it has been in storage for almost 20 years, but not much of an issue, since the dent is very minor and the box is otherwise undamaged (which is important, since I'm keeping it in the box), with the doll itself being in perfect mint condition; the rubber band that held the staff in place has dried out due to age, but is an easily resolvable "issue" that needed some string. Overall, very pleased with this doll and the quality.

Amazingly beautiful Barbie doll! Thank you very much to the seller for the gift that we received along with the doll. It is a coloring book with African motifs. My daughter and I live in Ukraine. And we were very pleased to receive a postcard that was written personally to us. It is so sweet and touching. We really like the doll. We bought it for our collection and will not take it out of the box. And we really like such a pleasant human attitude. Very well packed. We were worried that it could be damaged on the way, but it arrived perfectly. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts!

Doll looks awesome but dolls staff was not connected to her hand and side of the box container was damaged-a little disappointed especially what I had paid for her.

Doll is very nice and sturdy. She looks like her picture. She is a little bigger than I expected. Her neck rings and ankle rings appear not to be removable, so I don't think she can wear other Barbie fashions. I would like Amazon to list the height of all Barbie dolls, so the buyer can tell if it will fit any Barbie clothes he or she already has. You only list the height of the box.
