Very cool sewing machine. It can handle multiple layers of fabric, including denim, sherpa and faux fur. It’s beginner friendly to advanced! Seems sturdy and durable and it wasn’t expensive.

This machine is great. Lighter than my old one. Quiet but easy to use. Always helps to read the instructions.

I am a beginner and this was the perfect machine for me. The projects are endless with this machine. So far I have made winter hats, bags pouches, tissue holders, hemmed pants, shortened sleeves on shirts and made pouches to organize my cargo pants pockets. I have had zero issues. It makes me wonder why I did not buy a sewing machine 20 years ago. Highly recommended.

I am updating my review. Since I did not have a lot things to do , i tried using this again. this machine have a lot of pros and cons, one is the needle threader , very easy to use, and machine is quieter. has smoother run, and can sew thicker fabric (straight line) evenly, but you'll have problem when sewing in a curve, stitches length will get uneven when stitching in a curve, especially when curve has thin and thicker parts/side. I could not adjust the foot pressure, some machine you can adjust the pressure of the foot, and It'is hard to stitch on thinner fabric. - Update I am disappointed with this machine, after a week of adjusting tension, I even tried all the needle size, followed manual instructions, but my older (brother JX2517) sewing machine which I only bought for $100 has a better stitch than this machine. I have to switch back to my older machine because of this. I use my sewing machine everyday, from morning to evening, and this machine gave me more problems and headache than my older one. I also get a lot of narrower stitches when the machine runs into thicker part of fabric. This rarely happens to my older machine, but in this machine happens a lot! What a waste of money! This is very slow too. I have been stitching for years now, I know how to adjust and use sewing machines, but I do not have a good experienced with this machine.

Great machine for general sewing projects. Love the needle-threading feature & the drop-in bobbin is a great feature. The variety of special stitches are also a great feature. Easy to use, & has performed very well so far.

I had 0 experience with sewing, but I wanted to try. This machine is well made and will grow with me. Plus it came with extra feet and needles. Mostly just use the straight stitch but there’s many fancy options.

So far it has been great. I had a singer 4452 Heavy duty that lost timing often and I had problems trying to warranty it. I decided to get away from singer and I got this and I am glad I did. I sewed a thick tubular webbing with some upholstery thread and it hold up. I have had backlash. It is easy to thread. It’s plastic but I can feel how it’s more sturdy and better built. I’m very happy with it.

Only had it 2 months, out of return window! The timing was off from the first use. At first it was easy sailing, then using a twin needle, after the first pant leg hem, there was a grinding noise. Clearly the needle was hitting something. The twin needle (compatible per their booklet) broke. Then it was ok for the remaining 2 months although occasionally thread broke. The main issue is the 1-step automatic buttonhole was so finicky!!! Once I finally got the hang of it the buttonhole foot, things were ok for 2 uses until the next use, I hear the grinding noise again, now with the standard needle that it comes with. The handwheel won't freely rotate more than 3 turns. I try everything- open presser foot plate, no thread, fabric, etc. in the race. I reinstall a new needle and the same problem is there. I twist the handwheel back and forth and come to the conclusion the timing is off. The first 3 rotations seem ok with the needle near the appropriate place of the race/shuttle area. Inevitably between 3 and 12 rotations the needle hits against a metal part of the race. I wonder if that's why the first jersey twin needle broke? Sometimes the handwheel is stuck not because of the needle but because it seems to be meeting resistance somewhere in the mechanism above. The second complaint is it did *not* come with the feet described, most notably not the blind hem foot. The booklet implied it did, but it came with a separate paper for another foot implying a *substitution* was made. I invested about $150 in bobbins and Brother feet for this piece of garbage.

Great for a beginner! I haven't had any issues with threads snagging with this machine (except once or twice when I threaded it wrong). You can find all kinds of youtube tutorial videos that show you how to thread/setup. It comes with lots of extra gadgets like an extra head for blind stitching, extra needles, bobbins, button sewing, etc. PLUS the automatic threader is a nice time-saving feature. I also have had no issues with the light brightness. My first project was sewing a new cover for my machine, since the plastic one it comes with is flimsy and cheap.
