Great reference book

Very clear descriptions of the processes involved. If you want to make trousers that really do fit then this book will most definitely help!

This book is full of information. Lots of books on fitting only give you the basics such as how to add/remove width or length. The authors of Pants for Real People address more complicated fit issues such as seat and crotch adjustments as well as the order in which to do the adjustments. A great reference book which will help me on my pant making adventure.

Unnecessary photos are mentioned. Content is lack of dimensions, details procedures. The book has referred other books of same writer at many places to check further details which is trick of writer to compel unnecessary purchase of their books.

I really love this book, it is pleasing to look at and flip through, and the information is really good. I especially like the method used for welt pockets in this book. The book shows you both fitting technique as well as how to sew the pants. They only show you one type of pant(a trouser) fitted on different bodies, but I suppose you can still use the principles you learn here with any style of pant. They do tissue fitting but you can use the same principle if you do a Muslin instead
