Don't take my word. Find out for yourself. You won't be sorr.
Awesome reflex sighting system. Far better than I expected, both in quality and value. The tri color four reticle selection makes WOODS shooting easy.

If you're considering a reflex sight, read this
Pinty produces excellent products and their customer service superb. I ordered their reflex sight because of its low cost, and because I like Pinty products. A friend was having difficulty focusing on the iron sights on his AR-15( removable A2 front sight and carry handle combination), so I decided to see if it would potentially help him.I was initially NOT impressed, since it seemed that the holographic sight DID NOT remain in the same position relative to the target when you moved your eye. Although the Pinty sight attaches nicely in front of the carry handle and does seem to lend itself to the "co witness" use that is all the rage these days, whenever I peered downrange and moved my head around the holograph just seemed to wander all over the place, relative to the fixed sights.Through experimentation I discovered the "secret": the carry handle rear sight has two apperatures; a larger one for closer distances, and a smaller one for longer range shots (beyond 300 yards). The reason for the smaller apperature - besides that it is higher than the larger one, to compensate for bullet drop over longer ranges, is to better constrain your line of sight. As it turns out, when using the larger apperature you can move your eye around quite a bit and still see the front sight, and that movement is what makes the holograph look like it has a mind of its own. Since the holograph is a lot brighter than the front sight post, the eye tends to focus on it and if at the same time you are trying to use the iron sight, it can become pretty confusing. The solution was simple; just use the smaller apperature when getting the reflex sight dialed in. With the smaller opening there is little possibility to move your eye enough to make a difference in the relative position of the holograph without losing sight of the front sight post, so everything looks as it should. As I mentioned, it sits nicely in front of the rear sight on an AR, and since it is the first thing your eye jumps to, you do get a targeting speed advantage, and lining the holograph up with the front sight post gives you maximum accuracy as well. And, when mounted this way you can simply use your iron sights with the Pinty turned off.Another friend showed me his $300 reflex sight. It's nice, but doesn't do anything the Pinty doesn't do. As a shooter who trained with the M16 in the '70s, I would NEVER let a glass and/or battery sight be my only sight, but I have to admit, Pinty's made a believer out of me.The only recommendation I would make to Pinty is add some click stops to the red/green brightness wheel to minimize the possibility of not turning it far enough from "off" to illuminate, and to allow for a consistent brightness level. Both the vertical and horizontal adjustments do feature clicks, and work very well.

Good bang for the buck
I only use on rimfire, so recoil is not a factor. Once zeroed, holds it with no issues. Shooting out to 50 yards with 1.5 inch groups is very possible. The selection of color and reticle is very useful. Better than iron sights for old eyes.

Nice Sight
A very well made and nice sight. Put the battery in (the instructions are in really small print - had to use a magnifying glass to read them !) turned on the sight and went thru all the reticles and red and green colors. Works very well, everything was fairly clear (I wear bifocal glasses, had to choose how to use which of my glass lens to look at the sight at the distance on the rail I want to put it at). Although I did notice a "double image" while looking through the sight at home - in the garage (remember when using this type of sight you keep "both eyes" open - takes some getting used to after using iron sights for so long !!). I just attributed this to my vision problems. Haven't used it yet on my gun, but I'm sure it will work just fine.Fast shipping. Comes with everything in the box. 2 allen wrenches, a battery, and a cleaning cloth.Update - used the sight for the first time today 1/14/19 on my Rock Island 1911 45acp. Worked great. When I used it at the range, the "double image" I saw through the sight at home just disappeared! I guess you have to actually use the sight "at distance" on the range to have it work as expected, and fully appreciate it. Everything was sharp and clear. Just remember once you get it zeroed to your liking, there is a small allen screw (one of the two allen wrenches supplied with the sight) on the right side of the sight to screw in (but do not tighten it !) so it will remained zeroed (refer to the supplied picture instructions included with the sight). Have had no problems after zeroing (which took some time at 25 yard distance) and firing 50+ rounds. Remained zeroed. Will see if all is well next time out to the range.Update (1/19/2019)- took my Rock Island to the range today, everything remained zeroed.Further Update (I know, to many updates !!). Anyway I purchased another one of these great holographic sights. The same thing happened when I placed the battery in and looked through it while in my garage. Seemed to show (as the other sight did) a "double image". Once again, I put it on a pistol and took it to the range. Absolutely fantastic !! No double images or anything like that. I am not a scientist, but I can only assume that the outside light at a range is what is needed for these optics to work. So if you do purchase one, just mount it on your gun and use it at the range before you form any opinions. Also, this sight is exactly like the "Dagger Defense DDHB Red Dot Reflex Sight" listed on Amazon. If you look that sight up on Amazon, you will find a great description and instructions for this sight.

Good for what it is
It's a 30 dollar reflex sight... Functions great out if the box, clear and sharp reticle with normal distortion at higher brightness. Bought in 10/21, now 6/24. I bought it to try out the red dot craze. I liked being able to try different reticle shapes as well as both common colors. My favorite was red circle-dot combo. Now a couple years later, vibration has gotten to it from 556 and 12 gauge so reticle has a ghost or shadow and moves side to side so no longer has a reliable zero. It satisfied my need and now it's time to upgrade.
