1999年に登場したキットで、当時の価格はサニーが代理店で700円という非常にコスパの高いキットでした。 ドーサルフィンの有無に対応する為に胴体が前後で分割されているなど、明らかにアキュレイトミニチュアの1/48の影響を受けています。 プロポーションは全体的には悪くありませんが、主翼だけが何故かオーバースケールで大きく、胴体とアンバランスになっているのが残念で修正もほぼ不可能。 コクピットはそれなりに再現されているもののラジエーターはドンガラで、吸気口と排気口が筒抜けなのは考えモノ。 せめてプラ板などで仕切りくらいは設けたいです。 パーツの嵌合は良好なので組み立て易いキットです。 アクセサリーは70ガロンと108ガロン増槽、500ポンド爆弾、M10ロケットランチャーと豊富に付属。 キャノピーも通常型とマルコムフードが付属し、開閉状態が選択可能です。 マーキングはアメリカ陸軍二種にイギリス空軍一種が付属し、エースのクラレンス・アンダーソン大尉(16機撃墜)、フォード・グローバー少佐(10機撃墜)、エウゲニウッシュ・ホルバチェフスキ少佐(16機撃墜)の乗機がチョイスされています。 主翼の欠点を許容できるかで評価が変わるキットですが、細かい事を気にせずに気楽に楽しむには向いたキットだと思います。

Quite fine panel lines, crisp mouldings, nice sharp decals, three variants to make, mine will be the English one, instructions look easy to read, but perhaps be like airfix, have the overall painting instructions to be in colour. Recommend this kit.

this is an awesome kit... the negative reviews are from non-model building individuals.... it's NOT a beginners kit but is a solid kit for those with experience and skills to build a Mustang... decals are solid and need to be treated and dealt with as decals for an advanced kit... my Mustang came out amazing, perfect size at 1:72 scale, great detail, assembly is perfect for a skilled model hobbyist
