Just set a line, apply above or below. Easy molding to work with and looks nice.

Did the trick, hope it'll stick
I have a Honda Odyssey '05. There are metal "rails" that I think are just aesthetic, covering a seam on the roof on both sides from the windshield back to the beginning of the roof rack. The "rails" were originally covered with a black rubber of some sort; these rubber strips peeled away from the metal due to car age/wear I guess. I would tape them down to the car roof, not knowing what else to do with them, and once I got going to a certain speed, or after enough rainfalls, the rubber strips would start flapping around in the air above my car like one of those inflatables outside a car dealership. I bought this product because I thought maybe I could just stick it to the existing metal rails that are still on the car, and it worked well for that purpose. I cleaned under the metal rails as much as I could (tree debris) blowing it out from under the metal using an air pump, and made sure the metal surface was clean for good adhesion. I did tuck a 1/8" edge under something at either end of where I was adhering it to hopefully enhance its staying power. It looks great, and I had probably a good 8" left over when I finished both sides. Now to see how long it lasts, with heat, rain, cold, etc. I will update this review if this does not last a year.

Nice & looks good but I wish adhesive was a tad thicker.
Nice. Shiny. Cuts easily. I bet for 98% of applications it will be fine. I had it on a curved surface (front bumper wrapping around the side of the bumper ) and while it stuck originally, it started to lift away in a few spots. Easily fixed. I purchased some 1 inch 3M auto adhesive tape (7/8ths would have been even better) and added an extra strip on the back and that thickness worked better in my application.

Not the best
I purchased this to replace the molding on my electric mobility scooter. Unfortunately, this product does not adhere as well as I thought it should and I ended up having to use glue to get it to stay where I needed it to go.

Look elsewhere
Took forever to uncurl and lay down flat and wouldn’t stick. Had to add some mastic just to make it stay. One year out and it is cracked beyond belief. Looks ten times worse than the molding I replaced. Total junk!.

Good purchase
Used this to cover some minor damage on my Toyota Tacoma tailgate. Adhesive works fine and so far has worked well in rainy weather.

Fits the ford roof channels
I was looking for something to put in the roof channels on a gen10 F150 and this trim fit. I secured it with sealant and it’s holding up well
