Specific Question: What is the difference between PF47 and PF47E ACDELCO oil filter?

The pf47 is the original design, where the pf47e is the new "e-core" design filter. They both fit the same on your vehicle, the E-type is just a bit more expensive and has a differently designed core which is said to perform better, and has an overall smaller design. the original pf47 will be phased out soon.
