The part where the lid attaches to the hinge broke off. EKO USA says they will not send replacement parts to the UAE, so why even sell it in these places? The dealer has closed shop so obviously is unreachable, and Jeff as always is reticent to do anything that is beneficial for his customer. Daylight robbery is what it is.

Bin is fine for the most part but major, ridiculous design flaw is that the smaller compartment for food waste has a metal handle and it attaches to the bin INSIDE the compartment! Hence these rip holes into both sides of your full bin bag as you’re struggling to pull it out! Honestly if they did any kind of UAT they would have noticed this.

I love this trash/recycle bin. It was easy to set up. All I had to do was attach the pedals to it & it was a “snap”. Easy to clean & it’s closing lids are quiet.

Good quality, easy to use, convenient step for opening. Overall happy with the product. When it arrived the side was dented a bit, but it popped right out. Looks flawless now, no dents.

As some others have said my hinge has broken on this bin after owning it a little over 9 months. The most bizarre part is it was just on gently opening it. I also found the clearcoat started peeling so if you buy this only use alcohol wipes as the clear coat is not durable. Tried contact EKO on 3 occasions now answer. I'm now going to explore my options via Amazon.

I really debating on buying this trash can for my kitchen. I have never spent so much on a trash can. But it was so worth it, and I'm so happy I made the jump. Very easy to clean. I use a stainless steel cleaner and a microfiber towel. Love how I can use my foot to open the lid and it slowly closes down. Also, stops my dog from snooping in the trash. Very durable and made to last.
