I recently bought a new motor home that used cat 6 to 3 tv’s vs hdmi. I run a satellite receiver that uses hdmi. I purchased this to get my satellite picture to each of 3 tv’s. I was worried how this would work. To my amazement. Plugged in main box. Then hdmi in and cat 6 cable to tv. Plugged in other end at tv and a short hdmi cable and instant picture. Repeated for other 2 tv’s and boom all done. Plug and play at its finest. Works great.

This worked great to send digital signage output from a chrome box to two digital displays in a portrait orientation. Cat6 was used in wall to a central data closet. I originally had a Monoprice blackbird 4k 1x4 (only needing 2 outputs though). That was very glitchy. One screen would work 50% of the time and the other would barely work (flashing, glitchy, black screens). I replaced that with this GoFanco unit and a 1 ft shielded Cat6a cable from the wall jack to this and it worked perfectly. In the data closet a 7 ft shielded Cat6a cable ran from the patch panel into the GoFanco sending unit. Both screens have a beautiful 1080p digital signage display in a retail environment while the image is generated from a box in a climate controlled data room and connected to a PDU where we can power cycle it remotely if we would ever need to. This exceeded my expectations and I did test this at home with both an Xbox one and Nintendo switch before putting it into production, and I was able to get video from my family room in my lower level shot across my Cat5e cable I have run in my house to another jack behind my living room tv. The wireless controllers worked through the floor and I was able to view the game consoles in the other room with no difficulty. In its final retail setting we have no need for the IR eyes so they remain disconnected and put away. I would recommend this over the Monoprice unit since we had lots of trouble with the reliability from Monoprice. The Monoprice did power the receivers over the cable which was nice, so keep in mind with the GoFanco the receivers need a power outlet to operate. Keep in mind this is not 4k but for a digital sign you are viewing from a distance anyway and 1080p is tried and true.

After having tried a couple of other similar products with no success, this one is a pleasant surprise. It just worked right out of the box, using the default settings. I only needed to make sure that the HDMI output of the computer was set to 1024, and it worked at the default switch setting. So far only working with one extended monitor, but I have no doubt that the second monitor will work just as well. The HDMI loop-through - they call it loopout - for a "local" monitor is a big plus. I am using 100-foot runs of STP (shielded twisted pair) CAT6, with shielded CAT6 jacks and 3' CAT6 shielded jumpers at each end, and everything looks great. My only minor complaint is that the DIP switch setting table in the manual isn't very well-explained, but I did figure it out, and as I didn't need to change anything anyway, I'm fine. I did try a couple of different switch settings, but everything still looked the same.
