FAR AND AWAY the best car mount I’ve ever owned (not even including the charging.) I drive 45,000+ miles per year for work and have been using this mount for the last 2+ years. The magnet still works perfectly, I think I can legitimately remember 1 time my phone ever fell off the magnet. The charger is still amazing; it charges fairly quickly, the cord has never fallen out of the mount and they fit snugly. The only problem I’ve had, after 2+ years where I REALLY put it to the test, is that the adhesive that has it mounted to my dash has started to come off. I’d say the rough roads I have to drive regularly for work and the amount of miles it’s been through has more to do with that than the actual product. I actually have absolutely no issues! I genuinely love the product so much that instead of making what would very likely be an easy fix; I saw there was a newer, faster charging version available and I decided to reward a company that made a fantastic product with another purchase!

The MagSafe Car Mount Charger works great! I bought it for my son’s car. He needed to use it for maps when he was going out of town. He said that it worked great! It was nice and secure while driving and he would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a good sturdy car mount. :)

This is a great car mount. And ESR stands behind their products. If you have an issue or a question about a product of theirs that you purchased, their Customer Service is very helpful and responsive. This is exactly the kind of mount we needed for our car. The adhesive for the dash mount is very strong and secure. The halolock magnet in the charger holds the phone securely. It works great with our Otterbox, Mous, and off-brand phone cases from Amazon. The adjustable arm and rotatable base works great in different positions. You can unlock both the arm and swivel-lock base to rotate and adjust height for different drivers. It's still a little tough to adjust after unlocking. But once the arm and base are locked back into place, they stay that way. My wife and I need the mount in different positions. So this works great for us. 4 months after purchasing this ESR Halolock car mount, the tightening ring on the back of the halolock part of the mount broke, which made that part of the base floppy. And it fell off a couple of times, while driving, because it could not stay securely attached to the adjustable arm. So I went to ESR's website, and contacted them for product help, requesting a replacement ring, since the original ring broke. The rest of the mount is still working great. They just asked me to send them a picture of the issue, which I did. They said they'd send me a replacement. I thought they would just send me the tightening ring, like I requested. But they sent me a whole new car mount! And it arrived the next morning! That response far exceeded my expectations. Anyway... I just took the ring off the new mount, and used it to replace the broken one. The rest of the mount still works great, and is still very securely attached to the dash. Anyway... this is great car mount. Abs ESR has great customer service.

Very nice mount. Installed easily in the correct position and looks great in my Tesla Model Y, Juniper. I love the fact that you can position it in different configurations with very easy adjustments. And the bigger plus is that it folds away so that it's not visible. Material workmanship is of very good quality. My phone is not a magnet phone. And the case that I got for it was not attaching well. I purchased the metal rings that are sold separately and attached one to my phone and one to the case. Now it attaches very strongly, like glue. The charger would not charge through the phone case. But the phone attached without the case, charged perfectly. Overall, I'm very happy with this mount. It's a great value for the price and quality. And highly recommended.

El plástico usado para el producto es más normalete que el que esperaba pero en general de momento cumple muy bien con las espectativas. El brazo es muy regulable y se puede colocar en casi todos los ángulos. Se supone que la ventosa es reutilizable pero la primera vez que la pones tiene una especie de adhesivo que la deja increiblemente bien sujeta a la luna delantera, que es donde lo tengo puesto, desconozco si esta solidez se mantendría en posteriores aplicaciones unicamente utilizando la succión de la ventosa, así que probablemente lo mejor es pensarse bien el lugar donde la pones la primera vez. La potencia de los imanes es bastante buena, sobre todo al principio, tampoco es una locura pero si que creo que funciona bastante bien y para mi mini va perfecto, a no ser que tengas el modelo más enorme no creo que tengas problemas. En cuanto a los comentarios que leo sobre el calentamiento durante la carga quizás se refieran a un modelo anterior pero por mi parte aún no lo he experimentado y funciona bastante bien (eso sí sin la animación propietaria de carga MagSafe pero bueno esa compatibilidad casi nadie la tiene y tampoco hace falta tanta potencia). Quizás si se usa un conector al mechero inadecuado se caliente más (en el empaquetado viene incluida una guia rápida ilustrada muy útil que te explica cual es el tipo de adaptador de mechero que tienes que usar, además de otros consejos, está hecha de un papel más solido para tenerla a mano en el coche y es un muy bien detalle por parte de los fabricantes). Lo dicho, en general un producto muy satisfactorio a un precio muy competitivo con todo lo que incluye, sobretodo si no tienes posibilidad de usar los típicos que se enganchan al aire acondicionado. Veremos si la ventosa aguanta con el calor del verano pero de momento todo según lo esperado. Actualizaré esta review si se da alguna circunstancia poco deseable tras el uso a largo plazo.

I recently purchased the ESR Car Mount Charger from Amazon and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue when trying to install it in my car. The charger is designed to be installed on a smooth surface, but my car's dashboard has a textured surface. Because of this, I couldn't properly secure the mount. At first, I was quite frustrated, especially since I missed the return window on Amazon. However, I decided to contact ESR's support team to see if they could help. I must say, their customer service was exceptional. They took the time to understand the problem and explained why the charger wouldn't stick to my textured dashboard. To my surprise, they issued me a full refund even though I had passed the return period. Despite the installation issue, I want to highlight that the product itself is of really good quality. The build feels sturdy, and it seems like it would work great on a smooth surface as intended. So, a big thumbs up to ESR for both their product quality and their outstanding customer service. One piece of advice for anyone considering this purchase: Make sure you check your car's dashboard surface before buying. If it's smooth, you should be fine. But if it's textured like mine, you might run into the same problem I did. Overall, I was disappointed that I couldn't use the charger, but I'm happy with how the situation was handled by ESR. I will definitely consider buying from them again in the future.
