After several uses, the corkscrew part separated from the plastic body and was no longer functional. Lasted a while, though.

The bird design was good enough reason for me to try this out.
I wanted this because it looked like a bird. It's cute and I recommend this. The grip of the corkscrew really fit into my hand well. I like how neatly it folds and unfolds. You unfold it to review the corkscrew and work your magic on a bottle of wine. I use the metal part as leverage to pull the screw up, of course. It's super helpful to have a wine stopper, though it's easy for me to lose small items in the kitchen.I also used the"bird's mouth" to open a beer bottle. At first it was a little awkward to use but then I realized I was holding it wrong.Disclaimer: I bought this product at a promotional price and this is an unbiased review.

Red parrot
What a cute corkscrew this is. It's a nice red color and it's made to be shaped like a parrot. It's easy to use just open up and screw it into the cork and Hook the latch then pull. The corkscrew seems durable but Be sure to always close it specially if you have children around. This also came with a bonus stopper. If for any reason I need to update my review, I will do so.I was chosen to receive this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, with no guarantees. Okay but not up to the Alessi
Tried this as a replacement for an old di Alessi corkscrew, similar but much more expensive. This is okay, but not as good – the problem is that the corkscrew itself is considerably shorter (maybe 3/8 of an inch, one full twist) than the Alessi. If you go too far in, the hinged metal part giving leverage bends and you have to back the corkscrew out. This is no serious problem with new, good corks. But on older, fragile ones, the result will be that the cork pulls apart in the middle, and you have a real problem getting the remainder out. We'll likely eventually get a new Alessi. The little vacuum stopper that comes with it is a nice addition, but not as good as the dedicated pumps. But it's free, and if you don't have a pump it's much better than just putting the cork back in.
