What is the controller frequency? Are there choices for families with multiple children?

Hi Steven,The quadcopter only operates in 2.4 Ghz only. However, you can fly multiple drones at the same time on the channel with interfering the signals of the transmitter. All you need to do is pair one remote to a quadcopter and once the remote and the drone is paired then you can move on to the other one. There would be no signal interference once the remote and the drone's signal is locked in.

If these batteries only last 5-7 minutes, don't you need many, many batteries on hand? What do they cost?

Does this have auto take off?

There is a button to start the propellors, but I don't remember if it takes flight on its own or you need to use the stick. The button will also land it and shut down the propellors if you're already flying.
