L.A. Looks Mega Shaper Hair Gel - Hold 9 Level - 20 Oz (567g)

I have type 2C wavy/curly hair that has been growing out from a pixie to a bob. I also recently started the curly girl method to style my hair. I’ve tried tons of (expensive) products that didn’t give me definition or frizz control. This was recommended in a curl group online and for the price I figured it was worth a try. I use a LOT (like a ping pong ball amount) on soaking wet hair and squish it in, then brush through with a denman brush. I lightly plop with a microfiber towel to remove the excess water and gel and lightly mist with hairspray while still wet, then let it air dry while I finish getting ready. Then I diffuse for a couple minutes before I walk out the door and scrunch any cast. I really like that this is strong enough to actually GIVE me a cast. Most products just don’t give me a cast no matter how much I use. It still stays flexible enough that I can break the cast and my hair is soft and has movement, but doesn’t get frizzy. It prolongs my curl pattern all day. For the price you won’t find a better product. This bottle has lasted a couple months even using a lot, about 4 days a week. It washes out easily without buildup. I try to only wash every other day. This doesn’t quite extend my curls to second day hair, but it also doesn’t leave a nasty residue. On non-wash days typically just mist with some water and use a curl refreshing foam to revive my style.

This is such a great product. At first I was skeptical, however this is now my go to. It feels good to the hands - not greasy, and makes the curls in my hair last for days!

I have short hair that grows in all different directions, so using some kind of corrective Gel helps control my desired style. This LA Looks Gel is working very well to keep my hair in place without that stiff helmet look. I first wet the hair, towel dry, squeeze some Gel in my hands, and run them through my damp hair, concentrating on the trouble spots for more control and body, then style it with comb and my fingers. When it's dry, just comb it out and it fluffs out beautifully, lasting all day. The company makes different strengths, mine is Mega Shaper/9 Level, and it works perfectly for my semi-curly, not real thick hair.

The product is great, been using it for years. The issue I have is that Amazon shipped it in a bag rather than a box and it got squished. Gel coated the inside of the shipping bag and the cap was shattered. I didn't return it because the remaining gel is fine and I just reused the cap from the old bottle. Not the end of the world but I'm sure I'm not the only one that has had this happen.

Curly, thin, frizzy hair and this does not weigh it down. Helps define the curl without frizz. Apply directly to wet hair and use curl brush/wide tooth comb to comb through. Then scrunch and done for the day! Use a bit of water to refresh for day two, do not need to apply more product.

Perfect for keeping your hair in place. No residues, stiff but that's expected

My husband has been using this gel since he was 18 years old. Of course back then he made his hair shiny and feel like your using gel. Now he just uses it differently just to fluff his hair in place and the hold is good lasts a long time. It doesn’t look shiny or wet this way. The scent is very light nothing strong and the price is great. You can pay double maybe even triple for the end hair products. It is hard to find these in the stores so I just get it for him here. It’s easier and don’t have to go looking for it .

Best hair product I have found for my hair .. had it shipped to Australia.. only issue was the delivery . The person delivering always throws my Amazon purchases in the foyer of the business adjacent to my building, despite my building having parking and a HUGE sign. But product is excellent..
