I am new to watercolors and branching out to tubes of paint so I can learn to mix my own colors . This pallet is great size to put a Shinhan 30 set I purchased in . Plus add several other colors with single pigments to learn with too . There is so much mixing room , slanted big deep wells to fill , so I can experiment a lot . Without feeling I am wasting expensive tubes .

Great mixing space, deep wells, but opening it is a nightmare!

This pallete is really great for storing tons of paints. The wells are large, there’s a large mixing area, and the design of the pallete is very sleek. But there’s one small issue, and that is it’s hard to open the pallete. Personally it doesn’t bother me since all the pros overshadow the cons, but it would probably bother a less patient person.

When I got the item, the box ends were opened. Amazon just slapped a label and chuck at my front door. Didn't bother to tape the ends. When contacted they said I have to drop off at UPS during this Stay at home time. They also said it was how the seller package it and to contact them. I contacted the seller and they never bother to reply. I do not want to risk going out during this time and just eat the lost. One side is closed tightly, the other has a small gap. It is large and holds a lot of paint. While there is no separation mixing area, it has lots of room in the two large spaces. As for quality, it is much cheaper and more flimpsy than the small palette I got at Daiso for $1.50. So unless you needs 42 wells, I would not recommend this. If you need 20 wells or less, get the Daiso one, has lots of spaces/separations for mixing paints and super sturdy. This is also very large, and it's more of a stay at home palette, hard to carry anywhere.

I'm so pleased with this palette for the price! There's a lot of attention to detail in the palette design. - First of all, this palette is huge. The paint wells are huge (fits more than a half pan of paint), the mixing wells are gloriously spacious. - The quality of the plastic is quite sturdy and matte. I almost thought it was an enameled metal palette when I opened it. - Paint wells are slanted so you can easily pick up paint with the side of your brush, instead of being forced to dig into the well with the tip of your brush (which wears out brushes quickly). - Paint wells have a lip at the end to scrape off paint when squeezing in tube paint - There's some sort of textured patch in the center of each paint well. I'm not entirely sure what it's for, but I think it's to give your paint something to grip to so it's less likely to fall out when dried. I use really gooey paints (Da Vinci, M. Graham) so this isn't an issue for me. - I personally like that there are no divided wells in the mixing area (makes it much easier to clean).
