We've purchased several of these LEGO City road base plate set. I think we are on our 3rd one as my son continues to expand his Lego City empire. These roads have been a game changed for my 11-year-olds varios Lego City sets. Before this, his city was spread across tables and floors with improvised roads. Once we added these plates, everything instantly felt organized, realistic, and expandable. The roads connect cleanly, line up perfectly with LEGO City buildings, and give his police stations, firehouses, and shops a proper street layout. I picked up this LEGO City Road Plates set because my son really wanted it to expand his LEGO city layout. This was the best price I could find anywhere, and it turned out to be exactly what he was looking for. The plates connect easily with his other LEGO City sets and help turn the builds into more of an actual “city,” instead of just separate buildings. The extra details like the trees, traffic lights, and glow-in-the-dark elements are a fun bonus that he really likes. If your kid is into LEGO City, this is one of those add-on sets that makes everything feel more complete.

Loved this set but I wish it came with more 2x4 and 1x4 dark grey plates because if you arrange them in a line without the speed bumps of cross walks you can’t make a full road
