Use a gel conductor
This product is a miracle worker. For anyone experiencing issues of feeling no sensation, it could be because your hands are really dry. Because it works on electro stimulation, it needs a conductor or moisture to work. I tested this tonight when suddenly it stopped working. I dipped my finger in water and rubbed the water on my palm. Boom- worked like crazy!!! Just buy some kind of lightweight lubricant - ky jelly would work! Lol Try it!

not sure if it worked.
I just got it yesterday and followed the instructions. I will report if it is consistent or not because there is no way of knowing at this point. I definitely did not sleep with it. I did try it per instructions to hold the charged item as instructed for 20 minutes. I find having to package it for return is too combersome. But that is what I am leaning to do. at this time I would say it does not work. There is nothing to say it works. There were no indicators such as sound, or ways to measure is anything happened. As far as sleep, my main reason was that it was to address brain activity for stress release. Music works for me. & I always do that. Please if anyone can identify that it REALLY works please post.

It works, but does it work for you is a better question?
Anyone who leaves a review that says this doesn't work, isn't using it correctly. I read a lot of reviews indicating that the item simply doesn't have a pulse or work at all. It does... you just have to find the right spot on your hand (or whatever) to apply it. Once you've found that spot, I found that the jolts of electrical current it do work well... there are adjustments if its too strong or not strong enough. The problem I had is keeping it there. Once I found the spot on my hand (which was near my thumb) I felt the current, and it did relax me for about a minute. Or maybe I was just choosing to focus on that pulse, but it required some effort to keep it in that spot. The rubber band was a little tight for my wrist, but even if it did fit... I fail to see how I could keep it in the right spot and fall asleep. As soon as you relax your hand, the pulse is gone. So to summarize, it works... but at a cost. And the difficulty to keep it where it needs to be negates the positive uses it can bring. I'm not done trying to make it work... cause I dropped $ on this item. I'm considering taping or wrapping it my hand at some point... but the fact that I have to additionally engineer a solution in order to use a the product seems a bit irritating.

Perfect product for managing panic attacks
An absolutely amazing product to have before or during an anxiety attack. It allows me to focus on something other than my panicking. The stimulation pulse is very awkward and a little uncomfortable at first. But I have learned I actually enjoy the sensation. If it’s too much you can turn it down which is nice. My sleep has improved immensely. I fall asleep so easily now. No more tossing and turning. I go out like a light and stay asleep. My only complaint is it turns it’s self off and I wished it would stay on longer. However, it’s easy to turn back on. If you have crippling anxiety and looking for something other than medications or supplements definitely give this a try! Along with meditation and medication it’s helped me tremendously to manage my anxiety.

Like a miracle for my wife's insomnia
This bizarre little device makes it so my wife can sleep (and get back to sleep) relatively quickly. She has tachycardia & arrhythmia & panic attacks at night, and while it's a chicken & egg situation, I think she gets tachycardia/arrhythmia episodes while sleeping, which gives her panic attacks and makes her afraid to sleep. This hand zapper somehow calms her down and slows her heartrate - it actually gets her heartrate to a lower level than normal resting rate. When she first got it she used it with a pulse oximeter which allowed her to see her heart slowing - using it as a biofeedback device. It helps me sleep as well, and we got a second one so we can both use one, and in case one breaks. Anyway, yes the instructions are not the best. They imply that the device may not have overcharge protection so I recommend checking in on it every 15-20 minutes while it's charging. Its light will pulse while charging and be solid when fully charged. It lasts a long time on a charge - my wife uses it multiple times a night and we charge it about once a month. There are two modes and we use the slower/stronger one (which the instructions imply is the "relax" mode) - you switch modes with a quick press of the power button. Long press is on/off. You need to be able to figure out how to hold it with your fingers/hand relaxed while being able to feel the zapping, without it being distractingly strong. It works well with the loop over your fingers rather than your wrist. While figuring out your power level, have the buttons facing out (loop tethered toward thumb in left hand) so you can press the buttons with the other hand without moving it. I use mine with the loop the other way because I have the yellow one and that hides the lights, which are a little bright - my wife has the purple which is much dimmer. Moisturizing your hands can help - increasing the conductivity of your skin allows for greater flexibility in placement. TLDR: highly recommend, but for it to work properly you need to feel mild zapping without using a deathgrip.

Doesn't work
Even on lowest setting has strong electrical pulse which causes fingers to spasm. Doesn't help with sleep or calming.

Waste of money
Tried it for several days and I get to sleep easier just putting on some Youtube sleep music. I could barely feel anything 1/4 th the time even turning it up, the other 3/4 I felt nothing at all. Had my son try it and he said it just irritated him trying to get it to work, wouldnt even try it after the 2nd day.

Best impulse purchase to date
I FREAKING LOVE THIS THING!! I have ADHD and anxiety insomnia and go for weeks without real sleep because I am unable to silence the noise in my head. I kept seeing Facebook ads for a related product and of course came to Amazon to find something similar. It acts like a tens unit and some people find the shocks uncomfortable. I have found as long as my hand is dry and not sweaty it is not unbearable. I use setting 2 and the shocks redirect my focus and I have never fallen asleep so fast and at ease. If your situation is similar I 100% recommend giving it a try because it’s pretty life changing for me to sleep 3 full nights in a row. The only thing I have found that I can complain about it is that it takes the older style charger (comes with it so not that big of a deal but everything else is a C nowadays) and I wish the buttons were on the other side for easier use/adjustment when using left handed.
