I used Playtex bottles and liners with all my babies 19-25 years ago. I bought these for my first grandchild when my daughter found out that she was unable to nurse. The new style is just as good as the old style, even better actually. There have been several improvements. The drop-ins liners are super easy & can be used with only one hand. The old ones required two hands & you had to stretch it over the bottle top. The liner is also preformed so it's fully expanded & easier to fill, a huge improvement over the old flat style. The nurser itself has a hinge so you can feed the baby at the correct angle. I really like the collar arrows so you know when the collar is twisted on far enough to avoid leaks. We've not had any instances of leaks at all. The only thing I miss about the old style is the fun colors & patterns that the nursers came in. These are plain & sorta boring looking, but they work very well & I'm pleased with how they function, as is my daughter.

After trying Dr browns (which worked fine for our other child), tommy tippee, and nuk bottles for our baby that had reflux and a lot of gas, we gave these bottles a try. She absolutely loves them and we were able to switch between bottle and breast with no issues. They have a lot of different shaped nipples for babies and you can push the air out so they don't swallow air. We also warmed the formula which was different but took no more time than a bottle warmer. We would put warm tap water into a coffee mug and place just the liner with formula into the mug for about 1-2 minutes, then drop back into the playtex bottle. I have had zero problems with leaking, and I do not miss washing bottles at all !! Drop in bottles have been used for a long time for a reason, they work well.

This is such a great invention. With my other kids I used normal bottles, and always worried about cleaning at the bottom of the bottles very well. Also I am not sure if it was the formula we used but the bottles inside would always become greasy. With this product you just take a insert out wash the bottle from top and insert brush in the bottom also, clean the nipple and you are good to go. I was worried about buying the inserts and what if I ran out what would we use, but the boxes of inserts last awhile especially if you buy 3 or 4 at a time. Also if you like to get the most bang for your buck, I believe the 4 oz bottles are useless you can buy the 8 oz bottles and use the 4 oz inserts. My son only used the 4 oz for maybe 2 months and I still had inserts so I started making 2 bottles back to back. Also you can always replace the nipples.
