The rug pad gives your rug a nice comfy cushion but beware the pad does not have a floor gripper. If you don’t have anything on top of the rug it could be very slippery. The rug pad states it is felt. Some rug pads have a slight gripper to avoid it from slipping under your feet. So be aware when ordering

This rug pad has some hit or miss reviews, but we decided to roll the dice on it and we're glad we did! I don't believe in spending a lot of money on rugs themselves since we're an active household with four dogs coming in and out all day, which means I usually go for relatively cheap rugs on the thinner side. This rug pad is perfect for beefing them up and making them have that plush, warm-under-foot, expensive feel. It's not as squishy as I had hoped, but it's certainly a lot better than just a thin rug over hardwood floors. Given the nature of the product, the rug shifts around a lot more, which is an easy fix with a non-slip rug pad underneath or the stickers made specifically for securing rugs to the floor. We plan on buying more of these for all the rugs in our house.
