At what point in the battery's life (standard 12v for a Corolla) should it be used; when it's fairly new, after 2-3 years, etc.?

My battery showed no sign of weakness just old, two days after using it my battery was dead. thats the only answer I can give you.

Will this work if your batteries went dry?

Not sure. However, there must be acid I the cells for it to work.

Where can i see the material safety data sheet msds for this?

I belueve you have to ask the manufacturer as they are respondible fir the MSDS.
