LEGO 71380 Super Mario Master Your Adventure Maker Set, Expansion Set Buildable Game

I bought this set along with the luigi version for my son as a Christmas gift. I had played with lego as a child and had fond memories! Things have clearly moved on since the 80's as you now use an app for instructions on how to build the set! The fatal error I made was unpacking both sets, along with another from a family member and chucking them in a box together. When we came to start building I realised that each different part is bagged up separately and numbered!! This resulted in a lengthy search for all the right bits. My son lost interest fairly quickly but I powered through and was able build several sections. Would definitely recommend the set but perhaps for slightly older child. Good value for money.

This was my grandsons birthday present and he loves it. Great set to extend his Mario collection.

Good addition to the super mario lego starter set - you will need to purchase the starter set with the little super mario electronic lego (see separate review). Similar to the starter set, there are no building instructions in the box. There is a super mario brothers app that shows how to build different portions of the course and a provides videos to show the actions the super mario could complete on the section of course just built. There is also a separate lego app that provides instructions for building the complete set which seems easier for kids to follow.

An interesting set to bring back more creativity. Most of the sets you build to instructions, these are more for free play
