Cascade Mountain Tech Twist Lock Trekking Poles - Lightweight with Anti-Shock for Walking and Hiking Poles

These CMT hiking aluminum poles were a great help on a recent 8.6 km hike. They were light-weight to carry around, the anti-shock feature absorbed the rough impacts well on the decent. The adjustable poles were comfortable on the hands during the 4 hour hike. Very good value for the price paid. Strongly recommended for anyone looking for a good pair of hiking poles without paying the high price of a pair of carbon poles. They even included bonus attachments.

Really pleased with these, my first walking poles. Really lightweight and give good stability on all sorts of surface. Various tip accessories make this easy. Adjustment easy and secure clip fixing gives confidence.

First purchased these poles 4 years ago at Costco and have hiked 100s of miles with them. Very happy with them and have since purchased another pair from Amazon. Agree with the PROs others have listed - lite weight, cork grips, functionality, dependability & value. The CONs limited to carbide tips fall out. I have kept using the poles with out the tips and they still work fine. The remaining metal wears slowly. User note: the threads for the tip baskets will get damaged with normal use if you use these without an accessory attached. The small circular cups work well in most conditions including sand, scree, broken rock surfaces. I do a lot of mountaineering and backpacking. These poles have broken when I have used them in deep snow situations. However, this is to be expected. Once they get a foot or 2 into the snow, it's inevitable to put large bending loads on them. I don't expect a lite weight pole to withstand this type of use so I have a pair or heavier Black Diamond poles for those trips. I have NOT experienced the collapse failures other reviewer have cited.

Mis expectativas iniciales del producto eran bajas, dada la nula experiencia que tenía en el tema del senderismo. Me aventuré a pedirlo por un viaje que tenía programado. Una vez realizado dicho viaje y haber usado este producto, puedo decir que cumplió y superó por mucho mis expectativas!!! Ligeros para transportar, resistentes al ambiente y muy funcionales. Literal, hicieron la diferencia en mi ascenso y descenso de la montaña!!! Los recomiendo ampliamente!!!!
