This watch looks beautiful, the mechanics are fab and it works using movement. However it broke just after the return window closed - so frustrating as we now cannot get this fixed nor can we return it. SO stuck with beautiful but broken watch.

I have had this watch for over a year and 3 months at the time of this review and here are my findings: Let's get this out of the way: this watch is gorgeous. It was noticed all the time when I first bought it, and a woman at an upscale art gallery even commented on and asked about what it was made of. It is lightweight considering its substantial appearance, too. If you desire a truly unique timepiece at an affordable price, look no further. The movement was decent, and it was the first mechanical movement I had ever purchased at this price. It kept time fairly accurately if I wound it the right amount before putting it on. That said, the lower cost made itself evident: it is an unbranded Chinese movement, the back rotor is stiff, and power reserve was usually around 7 hours or less (compared to over a day for triple-digit-cost automatics), so that it only rarely was still ticking when I picked it up as I got out of bed in the morning after taking it off before sleeping. EDIT: turns out I was still a watch noob and didn't wind the watch all the way. If wound enough, it will definitely still be ticking the next morning. So power reserve is probably closer to those fancy automatics after all. The rotor/weight in the back was rather stiff. It wouldn't really roll around freely like the bigger brand ones do. However, it did still move enough so that whenever I wore the watch and moved around - even casually - it never stopped ticking on me. I live in a more dry climate, so I never had issues with moisture. Just the same, this watch WILL fog up inside if there is excessive humidity combined with heat: it fogged up on me more than once when I took it out to a nightclub and danced on a crowded and busy floor. Thankfully, that didn't seem to affect the movement. I heeded Bobo Bird's warning and kept it away from water otherwise. This is the most FRAGILE watch I have ever owned. It got dropped once from no higher than waist or belly height and that was enough to knock the hands loose (granted it was on a hard floor, but more expensive watches do withstand this). I had it repaired at the mall's watch shop and then it was great...maybe even better than when new time-wise. However, a recent knee-height drop (because it was bundled within a pair of jeans I picked up without realizing) knocked the hands loose yet again. The repair costs $45, and at this point I I don't feel it's worth repairing anymore because of how worn it has become. With regard to that external wear, as one would expect, the wood of the watch will scar and scratch over time as it hits your desk or other unexpected things, and you don't want dirty hands on it either. At this point in time, my watch no longer looks as fresh as in my pictures (though that's honestly my fault - I simply liked and wore it too much). This watch is definitely one that must only be worn when you want to look nice and will enjoy no more than a casual stroll for best results. After all of this, I have found my ownership experience pleasant enough to warrant buying it all over again despite the drawbacks. There is simply no other watch like this, and the looks alone just about warrant the cost. That it's made of beautiful wood that also feels nice and that it never needs batteries makes it worth the cost for me, so much so that I even bought the other available color scheme for my partner. He's not even into watches, yet he loved it and wore it a few times...until the movement wouldn't wind (lol). These have become highly sentimental to us since, and he will likely repair his soon because of that. UPDATE: Bobo Bird sent a replacement watch to my partner after I sent them an email and video proving it stopped working. It had been just over a year since the purchaseof his unit too. For such great service at this point, I have upgraded the review from 4 stars to 5. I hope this review was helpful for any prospective buyers out there. Any helpful votes would be greatly appreciated. Happy buying!
