Q: How do i get the strip off the insulation it does not peel off?n't work

it's been a year, my thought is that if it doesn't peel off it may be there to protect the foam insulation from wear and tear damage. for my installment it is used for the open space of the windows created by them not closing completely because the air conditioner unit.

This is not an air conditioner at all. This is insulating foam to put around a window unit air conditioner when the air conditioner is installed. It is excellent insulating foam for this purpose.

Q: My landlord uses tape for my 2 a/c install am i all set should i use this weather stripping tia?

I did not need any additional tape for securing AC unit. My opinion is you are good to go, save the money xtra tape for future repair if needed
