If the device happens to shut off after charge, testing it would be helpful whether something isn't functioning or part of a oddly feature for a full charged device.

It can be. However, the unites would cause stress to its ports when charging and use at the same time. Use it when it is an emergency, otherwise let it charged when it is not in use.

Never tried pairing using a dongle from a second keyboard/mouse. Pairing for this one is through its own Seenda USB dongle that hooks into your pc. Plug it in and start using in a few seconds as soon as your pc recognizes the USB.
