The pinout is wrong, it didn't work. It's a terrible product and too expansive. You can find better ones for 10$. Returning this.

I bought this cable a while back to use on a project where I needed a USB to serial converter with a standard FTDI header. The cable seems to contain the right chip, but the pinout doesn't match the description. In fact, the colours of the individual wires don't match the colours in the description. Fortunately, it's straight forward to open the case and look at the PCB silkscreen to identify the pinout. The pins can then be re-arranged to match the desired pinout.

Works as intended but a bit expensive
