Review -- When I was a kid I remember reading the little gold leaf books as my mom called them. I purchased these books for my nieces as a special keepsake collection. They come in a beautiful green box as pictured. The quality of the box is great as you will want to keep so you can keep the collection together. The books are great quality as well and have held up great. However, these books are better kept out of hands of little littles. They are hard back covers but the pages are paper, so could easily be torn. LOVE!

The stories do take a few liberties with the content, especially if one is familiar with the cartoons. Regardless, they are still enjoyable and we've been reading one every night (after watching the cartoon). The princess can't get enough. I am surprised by the vocabulary, I had expected much easier reading, but there were a few challenging words (this is a good thing) that the princess will have trouble with in a few years when she reads them for herself.

Reading one of those with your kids in bed just before sleep will make than happy.
