Original charger broke. This item helped me with being able to charge my switch and to connect it to the tv. Great buy

I bought this with the sole purpose of being able to hook to a TV without having to bring the original dock around. It fits in my HORI Adventure pack (TOK edition) and travels great. Very small and compact for a docking solution. Traveled to Europe with it and I was super happy being able to play on the tv in our Airbnb.My only issue so far... Android does not output sound correctly using this adapter. IYKYK. But could not ding the adapter since this is not native to the switch.

This is the first USC C hub I’ve been able to use with a Nintendo Switch without issues. USB C charging keeps up with the switch as it’s being used, and there are no visual artifacts. This adapter is great for traveling as it fits into the switch hard cases along with the console. I’ve also tested with an iPad mini and it seems to work nicely as well, although I’ve only extensively used it with the switch.

I purchased this item on sale October 2023 and have needed to use it until now, Thanksgiving 2024. Of course I hook everything up so we can enjoy Mario kart and Mario party...and it does not connect at all. Everything else works great, but this adapter doesn't do anything...the switch just does not connect. Great job once again Amazon on letting these crap products continue to be sold 👍🏼

I bought this to use with the Nintendo Switch. I wanted something that I could take with me and plug in to a different TV/monitor without having to mess with the original dock. I plugged it in to my Switch and to the TV and it did not show anything on the TV. I disconnected from the switch and connected it to my Android phone, an Apple phone, and my iPad. Those devices worked fine.I came back to read the description/reviews and found out the Nintendo Switch needs power for it to display on the TV. So, I try a USB charger which works fine while playing handheld. No luck. Thinking maybe it needed more power, I found the biggest USB C charger I had around, which was a charger for a MacBook Pro. Still no luck, but now I got a message on the Switch that I had to use the original charger/adapter for the Switch. Again, I went back to the reviews and I see people show it working, so I tried purchasing a new charger/adapter - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087MD5MYHFinally after the new charger came in, I tried once again with the same cable that I had been using for all the other testing and it finally worked! So now if I am taking my Switch somewhere I want to plug in, I need to make sure to take this AND the new charger I bought since not any charger will work.I don't know if it is this way for all Nintendo Switches or just mine. I have one of the first models that came out. Also, just for fun, I tried to use a Nintendo Switch Lite. As expected, the Lite does NOT have the capability to be played on an external monitored/TV.Overall, it works great, but it would have been nice to see the minimum specs required for it to be used with the Nintendo Switch. Something in the description saying something like "Requires minimum xx Watt charger/adapter" would have been nice.

I read some posts saying this doesn't work but decided to try it. I'm so glad I did!!Basically, your switch battery still goes down if you don't use the original Switch Charger, but if you use even a moderate phone charger it lasts for 10+ hours of game play (Zelda botw) before you may need to turn it off to charge back up to 100%But by that time you should probably go play outside or go to bed anyway lolEnjoy this awesome product at a fraction of the Genki alternatives cost who were completely over funded by all of us and now sell it for $80??? Eff that hahaGet this for sure and flippin play it up!

Great product. I've always been a little bummed that I can't easily take the dock with me to play the switch with groups.I'm just not one to pack a huge bulky thing.This connector works just as well as the doc. I use the charger that came with the switch and the HDMI cord.Now I can pack it all in my smaller sized carry case and have fun with friends.
