Secrets of the Karambit: Weapons of Southeast Asia

Very useful resource for understanding how to use karambits during fights. I bought this book to teach myself useful strategies for close combat if needed. Provides pictures and steps to assist your understanding. I also bought a plastic practice karambit so that I wouldn't hurt myself while learning.

Well written & concise volume. I enjoyed the author's point of view on teaching Kerambit, self defense, situational awareness and teaching methodology. The training drills were easy to follow, and using the principles anyone would find in Escrima, Arnis and other FMA made this book a winner. I highly recommend this work to novices and to instructors looking to add another tool to their toolbox of skills.

The picture quality isn't the best and the print size is to large for a book. It has the look and feel of a vanity self published book. However the information is good and I do recommend it. I would suggest getting the cheaper kindle version it's a better value.

Nice and easy book with good understanding techniques. I had fun reading it. I hope to learn more from it.

There is little debate that the Karambit is the most lethal edged weapon in existence. This is by far the best book I have ever read on the subject, and I believe I have read them all. This is the only book of it's kind that illustrates and explains the techniques well enough that you can learn them at home. This is great because very few areas are lucky enough to have a teacher who has mastered this weapon. If you want to learn how to effectively and efficiently neutralize multiple assailants, buy this book.

Had this some time now.Bought to study the use and application for the Karambit and as a collection to add to.Frightening in some parts to read and see but that's the world we live in!!Straight forward and simple to follow...walk away where ever possible as apposed to a confrontation with steel...
