AMACO Non-Toxic Semi-Moist Underglaze Set - C in Pan, 1.5 oz, Assorted Color, Set of 8

Beautiful just like all the other Amaco semi moist underglazes you can use this in a very painterly watercolor fashion or just like tempera paint but on clay. Not sure how much of a bargain buy they are definitely cheaper here on Amazon than anywhere else it was the exact product this is not a knock off but it is a small amount but they go a long way I would have to edit my review Once I run out :-) could be in a couple years kind of seems like it's going that way I use it like watercolor so I use very little ...put some on brush and move it over to a paint palette and use lots of water.

Great colors, my friends who borrowed mine now have their own sets. Wonderful for painting small clay pieces and detail work. I saw this at an art store and was very pleased to see these carried by Amazon.

I have used this product before, as well as other sets from this same manufacturer. It works great to create that water color look on ceramics.

I love the convince of these water color glazes. We travel in the summer and having these with me allows me to keep working on my ceramic jewelry. Colors can be vibrant or more transparent depending on the amount of water. True to color after firing and selection is wide and vibrant. After using one set (D) I bought B and C. Have never been able to find one listed as A.

The underglaze in this set was not semi-moist, it was rock hard. It took a lot of water to reconstitute and I'm not sure the colors will even come out correctly. The plastic container was warped and didn't close all the way! Hard to tell if it was made poorly by Amaco or if Amazon is a selling a very, very old and damaged product. Either way I'm really disappointed. For what it cost, it's not worth the risk of buying.

Being new to Amaco SMUGS, I found them a joy to use. I used them in combination with Amaco Underglaze Crayons and pencils on bisque before applying clear glaze and firing, very professional looking for a novice hobby potter. All 3 products are very versatile to work with.

These glazes were meant to look like watercolor on a ceramic body. The less you brush on, the lighter it will be. It presents a softer look instead of the strong look of other underglazes. So if you like this look, this is for you.
