I can not eat flaxseeds, so I wanted to find an alternative; I was looking for cold-pressed, organic flaxseed oil. I found this one on Amazon, and it's great. Exactly as described and at a good price.

This Flaxseed oil is very good for salads, popcorn and other sauces that are not heated. The nutty flavor is nice and also is thicker than some of the others. Good on rice!

Got a 2 burner style Blackstone flat top griddle for my wife for Mother’s Day. We live in a VERY humid area so it was mildly surprising (we kept it covered and out of the elements underneath the back porch when not using) when it developed a few little (quarter sized at largest) rust spots. The “official” video I watched online recommended you use flax seed oil to season it, so I ordered some. I can’t say I’ve ever tasted flax oil, but I dipped my pinky in and tasted some cause I’m a curious fella and I thought it was rather bitter. I was worried that it would impart said “gross” flavor to the griddle top but it didn’t. I ordered this with a few griddle stones (for cleaning) and went through the rather arduous task of seasoning the griddle, after a thorough scraping and cleaning. This entailed heating it up, using a paper towel to slather the griddle with flax seed oil, letting it smoke off, and then letting it cool down. I did this probably six to seven times, and it’s kept it rust free for two months or so. After each use, before I put it up (when it’s cooled off) I put a thin coat of this on the griddle top itself and some other (painted or powder coated) horizontal areas I thought would be prone to rusting. So far it’s kept the rusticles at bay. (Huzzah!) Take my ratings with these caveats in mind: This was my first time buying flax seed oil, I thought it was a little expensive for the amount you get but I’m frugal. I’m far from a connoisseur of flax seeds and their oils but it tasted like bitter crap and smelled about the same when smoking off the griddle top, good thing it didn’t impart any of that bitter flavor into any of the food, or if it did my sensitive palete couldn’t detect it. All in all it served its purpose and I’ve got a little less than a half a bottle left should I need to repeat the seasoning process, and for a light coat before storage. Works well for seasoning cast iron skillets

I have just started to use this product so unable to support results yet but will be having a lipid test in a month. In the mean while this product is easy to ingest as the taste is very mild.
