Safe & Secure-Travel Light, Travel Right
Ogon makes a quality product. I have researched other brands and this product suits my needs. My wife has the red and I purchased the black. The lid locks securely and opens easily, but not too easily. Credit cards are a cinch to store and there is still some room for paper bills, too. The wallet is thin enough to fit unobtusively into a guy's front pocket-yours,that is.It is solid, made from good materials and will be around long after pickpockets become an endangered species. Update: My wallet is still working great after about a year or so. On the other hand, the lock on my wife's wallet does not close securely. It failed after about two months of use. Just to let you know. Update: I dropped mine at the store and it wouldn't lock. I purchased a cheaper model at Walmart for $10 bucks and you should do the same. Avoid this overpriced item.

Great wallet if you never drop it!
I have owned my ÖGON card case since December 2009. As you can see in the second image, it looks, virtually, new. The plastic interior slots, likewise, have held up beautifully, never cracking, tearing, or warping. I have consistently recommended this wallet, until yesterday. My only complaint is that when I was changing purses, yesterday, the ÖGON card case slipped out of my hand and landed on the floor, which is carpeted. I was shocked to see the case burst open; the four cards I had in it, fly out; and the plastic clasp, broken (see second image). Immediately, I went to the ÖGON site to determine if this was covered by the warranty. It is not. As the warranty page states, "If the wallet is over-filled and/or if it falls on the floor, the closing system can be damaged. These are the 2 main ways of breaking the clasp which are not covered under warranty." In other words, the warranty does not cover the ONLY ways in which this wallet can be damaged. What's more, on the ÖGON site they advertise it as a piece to take on your motorcycle or carabining, from which one might, reasonably infer, that it will stand up to being dropped. It makes no sense that such a well-constructed item has a plastic clasp.

Excellent Compact Aluminum Wallet
This is the original Ogon aluminum small wallet. The later versions are the V2 Standard Size and the V2 Large Size. This original version has individual pouches which can fit two cards easily but I prefer one card to a slot so that they don’t rub against one another. There is also room for cash. In the photo, there are six cards, each in its own pouch, and ten USD $1 bills folded into thirds. It closed easily as can be seen in the next photo. The other photos compares the sizes of the three versions of the Ogon wallet and the last photo compares the interior of the original and V2 standard size. There are more pouches in the original. The V2 Large version has a separate compartment where a dozen or more bills of cash can be easily stored. The original version has a plastic latch while the two later versions have aluminum latches. Also, both later versions are watertight while the original isn’t. The latch on the original can be difficult to push. I solved this problem by applying a dab of WD-40 on the inside of the latch and it has been much easier to work since then. I consider any of the three versions superior to the Ridge or other minimalist metal wallets which keep your cards tightly packed together. Over time this will damage the cards and rub off the security code or other info on the back of the cards. The Ogon wallet pouches keep your cards separated from each other and anything that might damage them over time. I have all three Ogon version and use the V2 Large as my everyday carry wallet. The others are backups. I recommend the Ogon aluminum wallets. This one, the original, is getting harder to find but it is still a good buy for the price. The plastic latch is a drawback, and may break if dropped or just wear out over time. The two updated versions will undoubtedly last much longer. But the original can still be a good option for a low priced aluminum wallet that offers RFID protection and excellent storage space.

A proud user since 2008 buying her second ÖGON
I bought this exact wallet at a store back in 2008 and I paid... uh... a LOT of money for this wallet. A LOT. And it was 2008 money, so I shudder to think what it would have cost in today money. I used it faithfully for fifteen years until it got stolen with my purse. I was so excited to buy this wallet again for a much, much better price. I've tried lookalikes and they all fall apart. This one, though? It's the real deal and it's held up to the test of time. The ridges across the back look fantastic and are very pleasing to the touch. The close is solid, unlike the dupes that pop open the minute you sit on it wrong. This wallet holds all of my cards easily - and believe me I have a TON of cards I have to keep track of. The 2008 one survived a trip to Europe with me, and I felt very safe traveling with it. It is functional, serviceable, and Hella cool looking. Don't settle for a dupe, get the ÖGON version every time. You won't regret it.

very disappointed
This Rfid blocking credit card case seemed like a good idea. I purchased it as a gift for my husband. It's handsome, light-weight, and the accordion pockets make it easy to access one's cards. Most importantly, anything that helps to protect against cyber-theft is a good thing. Initially, he was very pleased with the case and immediately transferred his cards to it. However, after only one day's use,the plastic latch broke, rendering the case useless. Okay, maybe we just happened to get the one flawed case out of the whole lot, but what seemed like a great gift idea, suddenly became not only a disappointment, but a problem as the cards could not be effectively secured without using a rubber band to close the case. This was not the professional "look" my husband hoped to project during a major business trip.
