V for Vendetta 30th Anniversary: Deluxe Edition

Despite Moore's liking for anarchism, he doesn't present it here as a cure-all. The old, bad world is destroyed in the end, but whether a better one is ever built is a question honestly left unanswered. Instead of the rather cheerful ending of the film, the graphic novel leaves us with the picture of a single, lonely figure walking away from us along a deserted highway, away from the burning city into the dark. If people don't choose to make things better, they won't get better. There are no dragons to slay, no silver bullets or magic wands, that will change that.

Without comparing to the movie this is amazing. It's a different feel and plot with additional thought provoking anarchic goodness. Beautiful quality edition. However, it lacked the character development and V's alliteration speech. Those elements made it one of my favourite movies, and the reason I bought this novel, so I was a bit disappointed by that.

Great comic for a gift. Super quality.
